“I was really apprehensive about buying online without testing, but two weeks after delivery and setup- I like the couch. The major selling points for me were:
1) the modularity - we move around a lot, so I really like how easily it is able to assemble/disassemble and the potential for future expansions and configurations. Time will only tell if Burrow will be able to provide equal or better quality for expansion pieces in the future, as well as how well the current pieces will hold up until then. They seem pretty good quality now, but my 2 cats are slightly attracted to scratching the Range upholstery.
2) quick delivery - we were kind of desperate for a couch, so we chose a color in the ready to ship option and received ours in 2.5 weeks.
3) aesthetic - I love how it looks, pretty unique for a modular couch with this price range”
“We had the couch for over three weeks. It was harder to build it than expected but once we got a hang of it, it was not difficult. The only downside is that it came with a stain but because it is at the back it was fine. Overall, the couch looks really nice! Most importantly, we have two cats and although they try, their scratches do not leave marks so far! Cat hair does not get on the couch as much either.”
“The couch was a headache to put together and was much less user-friendly than I had hoped. It also surprised me that they didn't require a signature for delivery. Thousands of dollars worth of furniture was left in our side yard!
With all that being said, I have been deliberating over buying a new couch for over a decade, and this one finally met my needs. it's comfortable and stylish and will stand up to the new kitten scratching and kids snacking on it. I'm happy with my purchase.”
“Style: 5 stars
Idea: 5 stars
ACTUAL assembly: 3 stars
- Conceptually this was super simple to put together, but due to lack of quality control, not all screw threads had been drilled in at the correct depth. Some (50%) were deeper than other parts which meant the bolt that came with the couch didn't work. The work-around is to remove the weird plastic cover (stapled in) and THEN SMUSH the pieces together untli the bolt catches the corresponding thread.
Overall, it's been hard to find a modern couch for a decent price. I would have paid a little more so that this wasn't an issue (it felt like I was going crazy during the assembly because the process IS simple, but that QC made me feel like I was losing my mind).”
“I listen to Crooked podcasts, so I heard about Burrow some time ago and like the look of their furniture. When it was time for me to move from temporary furnished housing, I had a chance to try it out. I am very glad I did!
It looks as good in person as on the website and was fairly straightforward to assemble. (To furnish this place quickly, I also got some things from Way#ai% and Ash&(y. Let's just say even in assemble it yourself land you definitely get what you pay for!)
This sofa fits the space and my needs perfectly, and when I move it will again because I can just re-arrange it!!! Highly recommended.”
“Perfect that it shipped in separate boxes b/c we live in on a 2nd floor apt of an old house (narrow staircase and small doorways). Was able to assemble by myself in about 3 hours. Fits well in our living room and makes the room seem bigger. Putting the stuffing into the cushions was a challenge and it looked odd at first, but looks fine now that it's been worn in after just a week or two.”
