“The bad: Confusing instructions (why not add alphanumeric tags?), scratchy covers, help line that plays classical music with no words and hangs up on you, help hours not listed in the assembly instructions, uneven text support, cushion shapes don’t mirror cover shapes
The good: excellent mattress, good sofa design, shipping and packaging, ok price, support from physical stores”
“I purchased this for my NYC apartment so I could have both a sofa and a spot for guests to sleep. For that purpose, it's great — it arrived in three reasonably sized boxes, was easy to put together (even solo) and I've had several folks stay here and sleep comfortably. It's a perfect size for my small apartment.
It's quite firm as a sofa, but I really like that. I love the color, too; I had actually ordered the grey version just a few days before the green launched and cancelled my order so that I could order the green one and am very happy with the customer service for that process.
This would absolutely be a 5-star sofa for me except for the back/rear cushions. They are very floppy and require a lot of re-shaping and re-orienting the pillow inside the cover, and overall aren't quite as supportive as I had hoped. I plan to eventually replace the pillow inside with something more "stuffed" to address this. I know the side pillows are supposed to be actual pillows (e.g. for sleeping on) but the back cushions should be firmer.”
“I think the folding mattress onto the floor makes the Shift Sleeper more comfortable compared to other couch/beds and does away with the squeaking of a wire frame. The one draw back is that some guests may not like the low bed, but that’s really a preference issue. The bed itself it cozy!”
