I put the opener in and it works great once i figured it out. The directions are not very user friendly. The gate uses magnetic sensors to stop when it opens and when it closes. They did not make it apparent that the open magnet has to hit the top of the sensor and the close magnet has to hit the bottom. The sensor is a black box inside the unit. Failure to hit the right spot with shut the motor off completely. It took along time to find the fine print that told me this info. With a few guess and checks I figured it out and now the gate works great. I can open it with the remote from my kitchen which is about 70 feet away. You can 't beat the price but be ready to get crafty to figure it all out.

Well, I finally had this installed...had to hire an electrician as well as get help from a neighbor. The instructions are limited and the English is horrible so I went online to another gate company to see their specs and pics. This helped a lot especially when it came to the placement of the motor. It was the first issue I had when trying to get help from customer service. The guy had no clue when I asked about it and was not so nice. I asked to speak to someone else (who spoke better English) and was told that there was no one else... I had to have an extension arm made (my neighbor) so the gate would be able to close all the way. The hole in the base for the conduit was on the wrong end and the electrician had to drill another. The silver paint on the base started chipping off already. A lot of little things...and be patient. Today it is raining, so I hope that it works ok. It has only been a day, so it would be hard for me to comment on anything but the installation and c

I've had this unit installed for a few weeks now and so far I am more than happy with it. Does everything very well. I've installed the auto stop magnets for opening and closing points and they work perfect. Remote keychain unit works great...I've ionly tested the range of this remote to about 50 feet and they both worked well. So far, I'm very impressed.

I purchased this opener to install in my 30'X 6' metal gate and it works really well but not after I have to alter the metal base where the gear box and motor is attached. The construction of the mount is so far out that when you assmble it and try to disengaged the motor to operate it manually it be very hard to push the gate so I have to realligned the unit by putting shimms under the motor base and the gear box ounced it's all alligned it works great.

I first purchased this unit in Sept, 2011 and installed it with minimal problems. The instructions were OK but leave some minor doubts during the procedure. Eventually it worked well and performed as desired. In April it ceased working and I contacted the distributor who offered little to no assistance. The circuit board seemed to be the problem but they were mum on any warrantee. I called Amazon and they did some research, then offered to fix the problem by shipping me a NEW UNIT! I replaced the dead circuit board (actually just swapped the entire new unit) and now all is well again. The gate opens easily in the rain, snow and heat and my spouse is very happy.. Life is good. I am a very satisfied customer!
