“Very good platform, very user-friendly. I don't like that it sometimes slows down when loading at the start of the session, I also don't like that with each contract change, historical data is lost.”
“Honestly, Quantower is a good platform however; I am really interested in features that help me as a trader by settting specific guard rails.
Such as:
1 - ability to set daily loss limits
2 - ability to limit the # of contracts to take on a single position
3 - ability to lock out my trading for the day”
“The good: charts, developing Quantower algorithms with their API.
The bad: not built-in feature to export historical data, replay functionality is bad, relatively memory hungry, not available in Linux and Mac despite running a modern version of .NET nor a GUI-less option, severe lack of documentation.
Still, the best free tool available on the retail market outside of the Ninjatrader8 ecosystem and it is functional for most use cases.”
“Really good platform, it has all the functions you can need (unless you really need some peculiar instruments) and it's very user friendly. I think it's one of the best trading platforms out there.”
