“I can only say that for the price you get everything you need for a charting package. Better than that stupid NT or TOS that everyone seems to have a hard on for.
I only use the TPO charts so I don't need everything on it. I don't believe in indicators and all that jazz thet the reteail traders swear by them.
I do feel that it has room for improvements on their TPO charts like extending the halfback to the next TPO and color the TPO for high or low volume areas.. The bad. It would be nice to change the volume on the TPO from the right side to the left side like WindowTrader blue. I have brought this up to Sierra. They told me it is a licensing issue. I gues. I also like to see the zooming feature for TPO to be better instead of streching.
Overall though I am very happy with Sierra charts and I feel that they are one of the low rated platforms out there. And they are better than the competition.
I espially like that part that I can run it on a Unix platform.”
“Sierra Chart is a powerful platform, but has a steep learning curve. There are easier out of the box options available. However if you spend the time to learn how to use it the funtionality is almost limitless. I use it daily and my overall experience is very positive.”

“It’s confusing and convoluted. Different billing procedures, I’m always getting overcharged and credited every month. It’s weird. It’s ugly and unappealing, feels like Windows ‘95. ToS is a much better platform in my opinion
The only reason why it still exists is because of the amount of indicators. And they know this, which is why they have no incentive to improve it. Once someone comes up with a better looking platform that can also run on Mac, Sierra Charts probably will end up like the countless platforms.

“I like Sierra mainly because it is stable. I used Ninjatrader and had lag issues. Got tired of having to go through some process to make the performance what it should be. On the down side Sierra seems very old from GUI perspective. It's not as user friendly or straight forward as NT or Trading View. I'm not a Sierra experr by any means so can't speak to the programing aspects etc. One example that is annoying is that to Pan a chart I believe you have to have the hand tool on. Then if you want cross hairs you have to go back to cross hairs.”
