Once Fired Lake City 5.56 / .223 Brass Reviews

For "scrap" brass this brass was probably 1/3 pristine and maybe 1/10 unusable and the rest is for sure usable for 300 BLK

There were a few cases beyond repair but that's expected. There were some reloaded lake city brass that was not expected. All in all I am happy with my mixed brass but hope to not see the already reloaded brass in the future.

The brass is better than I had hoped for. I see another purchase in the future.

Great brass. I ordered damaged 223 to cut into 300 and this brass is perfect for it. I also bought some 300 once fired brass...and it is great also. These guys are GTG.

This is the first time I have had to order .223/5.56 brass and the first time I have ordered brass from Monmouth, but I couldn't be happier. Received my order in a timely fashion. Have resized, swaged, and trimmed about half the lot I received. So far so good. A couple bad pieces here and there, but it seems like much more than 1000 pieces total so I'm no concerned at all. Some of the bad pieces it was jus the neck so I threw it in my pile to get cut down to 300 Blackout. In fact I have probably only had about 3 pieces that I couldn't use at all, or I should say that I didn't want to use. I'm pretty picky. I shopped around and Monmouth was by far the cheapest brass, which scared me a little. Cheapest isn't always the best, but brass is brass as long as it's in decent shape, and it is so win win. Getting ready to order some 30-06 brass to for the 30-06 and 8MM Mauser. Will order from Monmouth again.

Fast shipping, Ordered the unclean brass, lots of extra cases to cover any of the damaged ones.

Ordered 1000 5.56 Lake City. Received via USPS flat rate box in a couple of days. Cases are excellent, and fairly clean, minimal dirt and foreign matter. Some TAA Nato cross stamped brass mixed in, maybe 10%, which were sorted out for only 5.56 loading. Some of the LC will be cut down for 300 Blackout, the rest will be for 5.56. Out of 1000 cases, maybe 10 were scrap. Great price and service, will buy again when I need more.

From the previous reviews I read I thought I may be able to use some of this brass for 223 and some for blackout. The batch I have will only work for blackout because of a majority having pretty dinged up case mouths. that being said, they will work great for my blakout as you trim those down anyhow haha. Good brass, I'd say 98% of the brass is usable, the other 2% had non fixable injuries. I'd but again.
