“Although we couldn’t see any whales on our tour, the team kept us entertained and we learned a lot about the marine life. Saw plenty of dolphins, hectors dolphins and albatrosses.”

“This was a fantastic tour, was impressed by all aspects of it! We saw two whales which was great! We also saw so many dolphins, which was great as they came right up to the boat! Overall it was an amazing experience!”

“We had a great time and saw 3 whales with a second sighting of the first whale. The crew were absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Well done there was a bit of confusion finding our booking as the backpacker voucher did not match with the Whale Watch system. That is the only improvement that needs to be made.”

“We went out on a calm cloudy day thinking that we might be lucky to see a whale. We saw 4 lying on the surface! (two twice who came up for re-oxygenating) I had always wanted to do this and I couldn't believe how awesome it was. The narration of the trip by Mel was fantastic and we learned so much about the whales and the geography of the ocean that explained why they are in Kaikoura. I would recommend that everyone does this trip - it is fantastic. Thank you to the Whale Watch crew.”
