“Cancelled trip due to rough sea. Alternative day cancelled again”

“We arrived there just after 12 and figured out our booking of 9 people at 1:15pm were just booked for one. There was no space left for the rest of us. Luckily, the staff there was willing to help us by calling to check up with you (Backpacker agent) to find out there was a mistake at the booking. We almost lost our chance to go on the boat if there weren't the last minute cancellation from other group. Finally our group has moved up to 12:45 pm departure. Wonder if we didn't manage to get there early, we would loose all our chance after a long drive from Christchurch that morning. The Kaikoura whalewatching tour, on the other hand, has given us quite a bit of surprise from the bumping ride. We knew the weather was not that great but did not expect it would be such a hard ride through the wind. We ended up seeing the whale which was good but with that condition, though we weren't sure if it was worth overall.”
