As a chiropractor, I love to track HRV as a way to measure my own health and the health of my patients. It’s essentially one of the best ways to objectively quantify how healthy we are. I have been using Biostrap for a few months now and love it! I recommend it to all my friends, family, and patients!

I paid 200 for the biostrap a long time ago. Every other wearable bracelet I've tried is better than biostrap, though your software updates did smarten up some of its functions. My others have been fitbit, and direct from china ones. So now you're dumping the gen 1 hardware descign? Don't support it? Don't care about my sleep as much as you care about the ppl's sleep that are now giving you 250 bucks? This ain't right.

I bought my Biostrap less than 3 months ago. Initially it worked well, it’s not exactly packed with features but I wanted it mainly to monitor my HRV and sleep and it worked well for that purpose. It lacks any type of differentiation between deep and light sleep, it only gives you those two classifications. It can measure your HRV every 5 minutes. The problems started a week or two ago when they started upgrading the server in anticipation of the sleep lab feature being released. For a number of days my HRV wasn’t calculating at all even though the data had been captured in the app. I was advised to wait until the upgrade, which meant that I missed about 4 days of data being correctly captured. After the update came out I upgraded the firmware and the app, and everything was working again. A couple of days later my biostrap wouldn’t connect to my phone at all. I tried charging it, resetting it, and reconnecting it. Nothing worked. When I reached out to support I was advised to leave it for 3 days so the battery would run out and then try to reconnect. They said the device is likely bricked, from the firmware update I assume. At this point I requested a refund. The product works well when it works, but it is very much still in beta testing given the type of issues that I have been having. A finished product that retails for hundreds of dollars should not be having any of these issues. The point of this device is to track data on a daily basis so you can see how you are doing compared to the previous day. With the number of days that I have missed over the past two weeks the device is pretty much useless. I’m going to try the Whoop strap, and would advise any would be buyers to look at either the Oura Ring or the Whoop strap, depending on their specific use case.

I purchased a Biostrap and wore it for a couple of weeks. I found the accuracy to be questionable so when I went through the return process, they charged me a restocking fee of $25.00. If I had buyers' remorse that's one thing but the device was not of the quality and accuracy they claim it to be. It's pretty bogus that they feel they have to get $25.00 out of me at the very least. I'd be very suspicious of a defective device being restocked.

This is a game changer. I used other fitness bands and, while they did what they advertised, none do all of this. As promised the measurements are essential to your overall success and health. My doctor is impressed with the level of detail and has inquired about purchasing one for his personal use. As an Ironman triathlete, the only thing I would like to see taken fro.m another fitness strap company is a recovery algorithm based on effort, HRV, sleep, etc to gauge how I'll perform for a workout day or will I be struggling through the day. Perfectly sized, expected battery life, not cumbersome. Now if the band itself could do a better job with exercise onset, we're talking a real Challenger for best fitness necessity. As it stands, it's a 5 star product. These small changes would make it a 10 star.

Love everything about the BioStrap especially the Sleep monitoring with O2 Saturation levels. Minus 1 star for the strap, it easily comes undone and am eager to buy the next strap that comes out.
