However the intention of having it delivered through the letterbox with the regular mail, somewhat failed as Royal Mail contacted the recipient the day before to arrange it as a special delivery for which she had to be in... a bit if an inconvenience and took the air out of a surprise package landing on the doorstep.”

I'm very sorry that Royal Mail ruined the surprise a little, our orders can be delivered throughout the day and not always with recipient's morning post but Royal Mail should only be contacting the sender using the details you have provided when placing your order, so we will be looking into this.
