“Ordered 3 identical bottom up, top down blinds for 3 identical windows. 2 blinds worked fine, but the 3rd would not work properly. Called customer service, they sent out a replacement and I did not have to return the blind. Good value for the price.”

“We replaced ageing mini-blinds in two bathrooms. Quick replacement--about 5 minutes total for each blind, removal and installation. Turns out the top-down-bottom-up feature is less important than expected as the new cellular fabric (white) transmits excellent illumination, so much so that we usually don't turn on lights during the day. But it is summer and we may need to pull the top down in the winter. So here are some things I did not think about before I purchased these: 1. At night, silhouettes of someone in the bathroom may be visible outside if the person is between the light and blind. For us this turns out to be hard to do. 2. The way these top-down-bottom-up blinds work, the top and bottom rails remain parallel to each other. This causes any out-of-square characteristics of the window, particularly the sill, to be more obvious. You can shim one side of the top box down to minimize this. 3. The top box (containing the counter-balance springs) is slightly taller than mini-blinds. Thus, if the blinds are mounted inside the frame, the very top of the window is obscured from the inside. Depending on the window, the back of the top box may be visible from the outside. All-in-all, these are a very pleasant improvement for a low cost and very little effort. Only thing I would like changed is that the screws to mount the blinds are still the hex-head type that have an inadequate Phillips (+) inside the hex. This causes trouble if the screws are not "buttered" with wax before driving. The far better polyester-coated Torx-head screws that are becoming prevalent every other place would eliminate this kind of installation problems.”

“when ordering different styles for same room, pay attention each style has different head rails for outside mount. Other than that I felt the blinds are great quality for the price.”
