“I ordered these for a 4 plex, and many windows get direct sunlight throughout the day. I am disappointed by the amount of heat coming through the cellular shade. Years ago I order cellular shades from Lowe's, the quality and the amount of heat that the shade detracted was superior to these shades. I do like the option of top down bottom up. But am disappointed with the quality. Also, they all seem off at the bottom, which is extremely annoying.”

I'm sorry you aren't happy with your shades. The R Value (rating that indicates heat/cold transfer) will vary by cell shade fabric. The shades you ordered have a R-Value of 3.4 (5 is the highest). Double cell shades have a much higher R-value (4.4) because it gives 2 layers of fabric and 2 pockets of air to insulate. “I ordered the top down bottom up version and they work smoothly with no problems. The order came timely with no problems. The material used in making these blinds seem to be of good quality and overall they are well made. Next time I'll order the darker shades as mine are the light filtering which I feel let in too much light. Oh, and they're very easy to install.”

“I was a little nervous about ordering these blinds for our new construction home because we were going to be moving in 14 days, and if they weren't delivered in that time, we wouldn't be at the old address to get them. I went ahead and ordered them and they were delivered in less than a week. They sat on the floor of the old house until we got the keys to our new house. First order of business was to get them installed. After unpacking the boxes, I was really amazed at the quality of these blinds. I have installed blinds in the past, but these were about the easiest I've ever installed. I used one of the brackets as a spacer to set the outside bracket locations, and if the blind required 3 brackets, I just put it in the center of the other two. I wish my 3 ceiling fans were as easy to install as these blinds. If you're on the fence about ordering from Blindster because the price seems too good to be true, just do it. You won't be dissapointed. On a side note, the blinds didn't want to sit down on the window sill when new because the mechanism for lifting the blinds was so strong. This goes away after a couple of days of lifting and lowering the blinds, and they sit nice and flush with the sill now.”
