“Bought 2 roller shades to replace cell shades that gave up after 5 years. The material is sturdy and the rolling mechanism does its job. I was a little put off that I had to add tape to one end as a shim to get them to roll up evenly. We have 2 power shades and they do NOT have that issue, so I'm thinking quality control needs a boot to the backside. The included mounting hardware is drywall anchors and screws. If your home is like mine, they installed drywall tape with metal reinforcement that this hardware is useless for. I used the salvaged sheet metal screws from the dead cell shades. FYI - these were included from Blindster 5 years ago and whoever had the idea to cut costs and remove a couple of dollars worth of optional screws should be saying "would you like fries with that" now.”

“Shade installed very easily. However, the other day I went to pull down between my thumb and first and middle finger...and the batten snapped in half. Weak.”

“Unfortunately the descriptions of these blinds make it sound like you don't need any extra tools or hardware than what it comes with. Somehow I had gotten that idea from navigating this site. However, you will need a drill to screw holes with very specific sized drill-bits, smaller screws of your own if you're drilling into wood paneling like I was (their universal-length screws are like 1.5 inches long), wall fasteners for drywall, they give you a single instruction booklet for every single type of blind they offer that you have to navigate, (didn't come with that hardware), and a firm understanding of their instructive terminology in order to actually be able to get this thing to install properly. Also, make sure you leave a small gap between the roll and the ceiling if you have a drop ceiling; you cannot put on the covers for the sides of the roll to make it look good because they just don't mention that part.”
