“The shades do not block light. The stripe design is unattractive and let's light in due to the large space between the two striped panels. I would not recommend these. The photo provided online is deceiving, the shade looks very different and I will not be using them. Money wasted.”

I'm sorry you weren't happy with your shades. I will contact you right away to get you a refund under our Satisfaction Guarantee. You are correct that these shades are not the best window covering for blocking light. One of the stripes in the fabric is opaque and blocks 100% of the light, that is why the term blackout is used. However, the gaps between the 2 pieces of fabric coupled with the gaps on the side of the window will allow deflected light to come through when bright sunshine is outside.
