After waiting what seemed an eternity, the keyboard arrived. The unpacking went well but the components didn’t mate up well. The iPad when inserted mucked up one of the rubber feet it is supposed to rest in and now it’s permanently out of alignment with the keyboard. The magnetic cover is just silly...nuff said...you better plan to purchase a protective sleeve as there is no protection whatsoever for the edges of your EXPENSIVE iPad (hint, hint Brydge). Overall, very disappointed after the hype related to the product. I should have stayed with the Zagg rugged case, a much better product.

The Brydge Pro is beautifully crafted with the exception of the hinge. The hinge is covered in rubber that is not attached and must be manipulated each time the iPad Pro is inserted. Also, with such a beautiful keyboard, the company should have integrated a worthy cover.

I love it.. the only issue is that the rubber on the left side, where the tablet slides in. The glue came off so now it sticks out

The Brydge Keyboard for my 11” iPad has turned my little machine into a full computer! The keyboard has a nice feel and folds into a neat little package. I can’t wait for IOS 13 to use the mouse!

I just received the Bridge 12.9 keyboard for the Ipad Pro 2018 from Amazon. It is sleek, the color match to the space grey is perfect, the capabilities are just fantastic. This just highlights what a great combination of the iPad Pro with the Brydge keyboard is. My sincere appreciation to the folks at Brydge for designing and creating such technological art.

There’s no denying that they build quality of the Brydge keyboard chassis is top notch. The feel and look of the thing is fantastic. The extra function keys are super helpful and it’s great to have backlighting. The fit of the hinges is snug. In fact, so snug, I had trouble fitting my iPad in. However, that’s not really Brydge’s fault, as I dropped my iPad on its corner a while ago and it has an ever so slight dent which just happens to interfere ever so slightly with the Brydge’s hinge mechanism. So, at least for me, I won’t be taking my iPad out and putting it in very often, I don’t think the rubber grippers would hold up to that. They’re thin and very flexible to the feel, so I have some concerns about their durability in the long run. Only time will tell. While others have mentioned the weight of the keyboard, it’s necessary to prevent the iPad from tipping over. So, yes, it’s heavy, but it needs to be. I don’t consider that a flaw at all. In fact, I personally like the weight, as it makes me more conscious that I’m carrying it under my arm and am, hopefully, less likely to drop it as a result. The optional back cover is very nice, too. It fits super snugly and feels nice. Much nicer than the Apple folio. My chief negative observations so far, after only a couple of hours of use: I find the typing experience to be the worst of all the keyboards I’ve used. I have to be especially deliberate in my presses, and far too often have to backspace to correct for a missing letter. I feel I really have to mash down on the keys and take my time in order to not make mistakes. This is one area where the Apple or Logitech keyboards have the advantage. I’m hopeful that, in time, I can get used to this typing experience. My other observation, having migrated from the Apple Smart Folio keyboard, is that, because the Brydge is connected by Bluetooth, it is slightly less responsive. It’s difficult to explain, and I suspect nobody really will notice this, but having come from a keyboard that’s basically wired to wireless, there is a little bit of lag when the keyboard wakes up after sleeping. This means that the first letter or two that I type after waking the device sometimes doesn’t register. Again, more retyping. My hands and fingers may become used to this new typing experience, but for now, I can definitely feel that I’ve been typing, which is to say my hands are a little tired, where I didn’t experience that with other keyboards. Also, just like with any metal laptop, if you wear a metal watch strap, you’ll have to either adjust your typing position or remove/swap out your watch strap or else you’ll scratch this keyboard. But that isn’t a flaw with the Brydge, they produced a very elegant looking accessory that matches very closely to the iPad’s finish. Maybe it’s too soon to say for sure, but so far I’m not super happy with the actual typing experience, but happy about everything else. At the end of the day, though, if a keyboard isn’t good at its primary function, is it worth it? (I literally had to retype like 30 words because I’m either not accustomed-enough to this thing OR because it’s just not a good keyboard.) You’ll have to decide if it’s worth taking the chance.
