I’d had these before and liked them a lot. I’ve had a lot of trouble with the IPad Pro 10.5 keyboard which is surprising. Will not buy another one direct from them due to their return policies and poor customer service experience.

I have the 10.5 keyboard, gold. This is the third brydge I have had, the second one to display these symptoms, and the first one to be so tenacious about it. The symptom: when I open the case, the Brydge keyboard sometimes does not connect with the bluetooth. It did this on the second one too. I had to either shut the case and open it again and reboot the iPad. This one, however, the 10.5, does it constantly. I have to shut and re-open the case several times to get it to connect with the bluetooth again. Once, I had to delete and pair it with the bluetooth all over again. Then it almost did not pair again. I've always enjoyed these keyboards and am bumming out that this keeps locking up. Once I get it going, it works fine, but to get it connected can be a bear. It might be the OS system (11.2, or whatever), but it drives me nuts. Otherwise, I love the keyboard and do not want another brand. I am always on the go somewhere, so I carry this around more than my laptop. As for the back cover, I wish Brydge made a clear one instead of black or red, but I just got a silicone one and cut out come grooves to that the shives could fit in there and have myself a back cover.

I purchased the 10.5 keyboard less than a month ago. I have used add-on keyboards through 5 different models of 3 different companies before the purchase of the Bridge 10.5 model. It meets or exceeds all my requirements except for one irritating characteristic. The keys are not sensitive enough for average typing speed. Unless the key is really "smashed" it fails. No one key is hard to register -- they all are. This requires slowing down typing speed or stopping for a lot of corrections. Bottom line: if this factor were corrected, I would gladly spend the money for a replacement.

I pre-ordered this keyboard and couldn’t wait to receive it. I had been using the Logitech Slim Case and didn’t like how the back hinge support made the over footprint so deep. It didn’t work well on seatback tables when I fly. The Brydge keyboard doesn’t have that issue do to their unique hinge design which I absolutely one. However I have encountered the same issues that others have posted about - keys that only work randomly (especially the “T” key) and frustratingly slow for the keyboard to connect via Bluetooth to the iPad. Every time the keyboard goes to sleep (which happens quickly if you pause in typing like I do) I end up waiting a good 10 sec or more for it to reconnect so I can keep typing. So considering the some keys need to be pressed multiple times before they register and the frustrating slow reconnect issue, I have reluctantly gone back to my Logitech. In the end, I just need to get my work done.

While the build quality and function of the case is nice, it’s not enough to justify the atrocious keyboard. This is the worst typing experience I’ve ever seen. In the amount of time I’ve been using the keyboard since it arrived, I have yet to type a complete sentence without a missed keystroke. This is completely ridiculous. It’s very disappointing because the design of the product is wonderful. The typing experience needs a complete overhaul. I’m sorry for this review, but I just cannot keep this.

The build of this case is amazing. I love that the iPad can be tipped far back without it falling backwards. My one area of concern is the actual keyboard. It’s not a showstopper, but the keys could be more responsive. All in all I’m satisfied with the case and will get a back cover that Brydge makes.
