As always good quality construction, it makes the ipad a laptop, good keyboard shortcuts, many programs are not optimized for use, just new and typing, many mistakes are made and sometimes too much press on keys not from the input, we must give a lot of pressure. All in all I'm happy.

As others have pointed out the keystroke response is not great, and to me, not as responsive as previous Air generation brydge keyboards. I need to type harder and/or dead-on the key (tapping the corner of a key will not respond). I also own the Apple Smart Cover keyboard prior to buying this Brydge and the keystroke response on those are phenomenal in comparison. Also, with my unit, I noticed that the right side hinge may be too tight as every time I swivel the iPad open and closed I will see a stress ripple on that corner of the display. I hope this will not cause future long term damage to the iPad. That said, it’s a brilliant looking keyboard that gives your iPad Pro the ‘look’ of a MacBook. Strengths are backlit keys, incredible battery life, and 180 viewing angle. I can overlook that there is zero protection for the back of the keyboard and iPad unit because I transport the whole unit in a nylon folio. But that keystroke response seriously needs to be improved upon.

When I first purchased the Bridge keyboard for my 12.9 laptop I thought this was the best product on the market - aesthetically it can’t be beat... I had some friends over and wgike I was raving about my new keyboard someone said ‘yeah it looks great but give it a few more weeks and you keyboard keys will stop working....”. I was like “anyway your a hater and you probably got your keyboard from EBAY” - mine came from BEST BUY - so scat!!!.... Well a few more weeks passed and I first noticed the “R’ key stopped working - so I kinds just avoided words with “R” - which even though I use the pad recreationally - was very hard to do. I wished it was the “z’. Well then the ‘t’ the “y” and eventually the complete row. I charged it in hopes this was some sort of warning that it needed to be charged. That didn’t wok and neither did half of the second line of the keyboard. My ‘knight” turned into a completely useless - but still nice looking pumpkin in 2.5 months.... In my ignorance and initial fascination with the Bribge product I carelessly threw away my packaging ... Returned to Best Buy only to find they “no longer carry the bridge” conveniently after marking the units down half price.... i wondered why... and why I didn’t get it for half price!!!! STUCK with the beautiful pumpkin....

Shortly after receiving my brydge keyboard, I also received a message letting me know that there might be an issue with one or both of the hinges that connect the iPad to the keyboard. My unit turned out to need the recommended adjustments, and I returned it. Unfortunately, when my keyboard returned, the rubber stability feet had been removed from the bottom and not replaced. I’ve got adhesive and exposed screws instead...and a keyboard that slides around on my desk. The keyboard seems to work well and is solid. It matches my iPad well, and it is comfortable to use. Connecting seems easy enough and the link is stable. For what these units cost, though, it’s been a disappointing experience.

I tried the Logitech backlit keyboard and returned it immediately. When it closed, it seemed flimsy and didn't cover the iPad correctly. The Brydge keyboard is sturdy and seems well made and I love that it allows me to use my iPad Pro (almost) like a laptop. It also looks like it is an apple product that came directly from the factory with the iPad (the aluminum color is exact) and you open it just like a laptop that has a fully adjustable screen angle (another case that I had tried had to be unfolded and did not have an adjustable screen angle). The backlit keys are an absolute plus, which you will appreciate in low or no light. Some improvements they need to make: The keys need to be more responsive (not have to hit them so hard). I am fast typer and this slows me down. And they should add a trac pad to the keyboard even if it's a tiny one. The keyboard should come with an iPad case so when you want to use it alone it is protected. At this time, a case cannot be used with the keyboard. I would highly recommend this product but hope they work to improve these few issues.

I have the ameissue a Greg. I have to slow my typing way down, and hit keys deliberately or the keyboard puts word into my typing that are not meant t be there at all! I am very disappointed in that. The color matches my ipad perfectly, but a far as functionality, I would give it a low score as it takes so much more time to do everything...then I have to reread and proof everything which slows down productivity immensely. Not very pleased.

The first run of BRYDGE 10.5 keyboards have defective hinges that wiggle. BRYDGE has been recalling those units. I received one and returned it to BRYDGE. The second run or repaired and resold BRYDGE 10.5 keyboards may damage your iPad and/or screen protector. The second unit I received ruined my screen protector and damaged my new iPad Pro 10.5. BRYDGE customer support, Support@brydgekeyboards.com, states, "Brydge 10.5 is not intended for use with any type of screen cover or glass". The BRYDGE User Manual and the BRYDGE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS does not state the “Brydge 10.5 is not intended for use with any type of screen cover or glass”. Additionally, BRYDGE sells the Otterbox Alpha Glass Screen Protector for the iPad Air 1 & 2, Pro 9.7”, and the 5th Gen, and then turns around and states the “Brydge 10.5 is not intended for use with any type of screen cover or glass”? BRYDGE has stated "their warranty does not cover any damage if used with an outside accessory such as a screen protector that is not approved or sold by Brydge." Too bad the product looks and feels nice.
