“I looked at the VertDesk v3 against a number of other competitors including some models with 4 legs, and models with multiple (2-4) motors. While this model doesn't necessarily have the highest specs in lift capacity, the quality of the actual components used is good. Thus my opinion is the "cost to value" is very good. Other comments: The packaging used was thoughtful and effective in preventing damage by FedEx. The unit was fairly easy to assemble. There was no issue getting the hex bar to mate up with the legs. Unit easily lifts a 72" x 30" x 1 3/4" maple butcher block top I attached it to which weighs about 105 lbs and another 50-60 lbs of computer gear, and occasional food I place on it. The leveling feet worked well. The unit is stable, and the motor doesn't appear obnoxiously noisy.”
“I paired this base with a butcher block top from Home Depot and it's become my work-from-home desk. The base is very stable and I notice very little movement even at the highest setting. I use the mobile app to control the height setting and it seems to work well. Great purchase.”
“Overall impression is of 'quality' right from when you try to move the box - very heavy! Even with my desk sitting on carpet the stability is fantastic. Assembly was easy enough but don't tackle it on a weekday evening like I did!
I had compared many other options and could have saved some money going with others but I knew I'd be unhappy with any wobble or shake. Spending a little more proved worth it.”

However, after purchasing them for use on a custom desktop, I can say how pleased I am with the quality of the base structure and features which make this a 5-star product. The instructions are well-written, the hardware is high-quality and structurally sound, and the legs themselves work smoothly to provide a professional user experience. Having the center of balance set back to allow for more legroom is extremely helpful. The acceptable weight is high enough to allow for all kinds of great features and hardware additions. For any other DIYers, implementing the base into your project is a simple process, and the end result is sturdy and strong. It's more expensive than I'd prefer, but then again, for a tool which will be used 5 days a week for then foreseeable future, I see this as an investment.
I've already begun recommending the VertDesk, and I'll most likely make a second purchase when I'm ready to build my own desk.”
