VertDesk v3 Electric Sit Stand Base Only w/ Voice Control Reviews

4.8 Rating 66 Reviews
I have wanted an adjustable height desk for years. The stability test videos were instrumental in my decision making. My only concern was the lowest height setting. Sounds strange I know, but I like my keyboard around 24". I had a keyboard tray that I planned on using to lower the height below the 27". Unfortunately this pushed me uncomfortably back away from my monitors. So I eventually rebuilt my desk with a lower level keyboard and mouse deck with cubbies. I now have a great desk that is comfortable at a sitting and standing position that is rock solid.

This desk is extremely sturdy even at full extension. The knee room from the cross support bar is decent (I'm 6'1" for reference). I opted for the upgraded controller with the position memory, it was totally worth it. It has a one-touch feature so you don't have to sit there holding the button whenever you change heights. I initially had a small problem with the electronics that customer service helped with immediately. Since I bought the frame-only, I attached an Ikea Linnmon desk top. The instructions that came with the frame seemed to be mainly for a full package (including desk top with pre-drilled holes), but I found special instructions on the website that helped attach my own top. It was a fairly simple process. Maybe they've already done this, but I think a youtube video tutorial for attaching your own top could be very helpful as well.

I have a Kimball President U Desk configuration that I've added this base to the "bridge" that connects the front desk to the credenza. It works wonderfully and the memory settings are superb. I have 2, 30" monitors on the BTOD adjustable stands also connected to the same "bridge". My traditional desk now has all the advantages of a modern desk thanks to BTOD.

Great quality product that works just as it needs to. It's sturdy enough to withstand RV conditions and is a pleasure to use always. I added my own plywood desktop to make this little guy fit perfectly into a corner in my Sprinter. So far I love it.

This is the third electric VertDesk v3 that we've purchased and we've been very pleased with their ease of use and sturdiness. The large 30 x 60" desk tops give plenty of space for all our work whether standing or sitting.

The only reason I purchased a BTOD frame was the video reviews showing how unstable other desks are at close to full height. I was impressed with the videos of the BOTD and decided to make the purchase. I'm aways afraid of companies reviewing competitors products, it seemed shady at first. My first 2 week opinion: Wow, it's stable. Loaded up with 2 monitors, laptop, speakers, mini pc and random stuff and it hardly moves. Leaning on it, no problem. Im 6'2" so I don't use full height, but close to it, and so far so good. I docked a star because the programmable switch. I don't think it was worth the price. You have to hold it anyway. $50 would be worth it if it had some sort of USB port and API. $50 in tech these days gets you a lot more. The parts are good quality. I don't see much that can go wrong here. Motor failure? Electronics? That's about it, so in the even either of those go I'll update my review and reach out to BTOD. From the looks of it, that wont be for a very long time. In the end I made the right choice, a BTOD frame. With an Ikea top I invested around $500. Sure I could have gotten cheap desks or a "smart desk" or some other gimmicky desk but I wanted something strong, stable, would stand the test of time, and preferably is made (in some part) in the good 'ol USA. BTOD: your video reviews were the #1 selling part, I'd suggest making more with a higher production quality.
