“I'm a software developer, and I've used the desk for roughly 2 months now and it's changed my life. The desk is very stable, even when set to max height. Once you get the hang of the programmable control, its really easy to switch between heights within seconds. I purchased 72" acacia wood from home depot to use as the desk platform to match the 6 foot wide leg platform. My only concern is if the motor dies, disassembly will be a hassle to take the broken motor out. Overall, you get what you pay for for this desk and I highly recommend it.”
“Arrived fairly quickly. Easy to put together (took under an hour) by myself. My son likes the desk a lot. Very nice quality. Sturdy. Note - ordered the concrete grooves laminate top. It is light gray but the edge band is a much darker gray. Had I known, I probably would've ordered a different top since the match is off. Top seems very durable though. Would order from BTOD again.”
“I shopped around for a sit stand desk over a period of a few years, looking at what ikea had but it shook like a leaf in the wind if you breathed on it, so I gave up for a while. Then I discovered BTOD and their comprehensive reviews and ultimately decided to by this desk. I love it. The desktop is thick and sturdy, The motor is quiet and the speed is fast. It was definitely worth the extra time to assemble. My only qualm is with the keyboard tray which doesn't fully slide under the desk. Since this desk only goes down to 27" it rather needs the tray. I've written to BTOD and hope to hear back about possible solutions.”
“I just received the two boxes which had shipping damage. Due to the excellent packing, my desk didn't encounter any issues. Desk components have first class fabrication and I'm very happy with my decision. One minor opportunity is ability to reset the digital display, as I added the optional castors to my stand, the display reads about an inch lower than actual. I am awaiting a response from BTOD if there is a way to align display to the actual height. Although a bit more expensive than the competitors, it worth paying for quality.”
“I did about 75 hours of homework before buying this desk and I'm glad I made the choice to spend a bit more than planned. I ultimately went with this desk over competitors due to the level of customization available. I love the unique look of the reclamation maple wood and it does an excellent job camouflaging the dust buildup. One con worth mentioning, the desk's gyro sensor was off so I had to disable something in settings to fix that, there's a youtube video detailing this process. I love everything else about the desk. The cable management box is a total game changer for me and I'm glad I spent the extra money. There's too many good things to say about this desk and I'm too high to try writing it all out. Just get the desk and see for yourself! :D”
“Bought this for shelter-in-place work-from-home. Wirecutter recommended two other desks ahead of this one, but those were out of stock and would take at least a month to ship. The VertDesk v3 was in stock, so I took a chance on it. It shipped quickly, and was easy to assemble. Wirecutter said they didn't pick this one because the motor is loud, but I don't think the motor is loud. (Obviously they bought and tested like 15 desks so they have something to compare it against. I have only ever used this desk and the motor sounds fine to me.) Very satisfied.”
“I have a friend who has the Uplift V2 standing desk and loves it. I was planning to purchase one as well, but the little bit of wobble in the desk when working at 44" bugged me. After doing some research and seeing the Wirecutter review which basically said "if stability is your number one factor buy this desk" I decided to go with the VertDesk. Three weeks in it is a great desk. The stability is bombproof. I notice no wiggle or bobble when typing @ 44" and it barely even moves as I lean into it. I will restate the Wirecutter opinion for emphasis: if stability is your number one concern BUY THIS DESK :). The only thing that makes this desk less than perfect for me, is despite being 6 ft tall, I do wish it would go a little lower than 27" at the bottom range. It feels about an inch too tall for optimum sitting. But, you can't have everything, and overall this desk is outstanding value and I'm a very satisfied customer.”
