“Vertdesk v3, 64", concrete finish, beveled edges. I use a monitor with two laptops and docking stations (1 personal, 1 work), ergo, lots of wires, lots of plugs. Have used this for a week and it is perfect for my needs. I'm 6'5" and my primary concern was stability. In researching the many available standing desks available, I ultimately bought from BTOD because (1) US-made and (2) they were hyper focused on the stability of the desk (also made easy because the price either comparable or lower to the competitors). I use the desk at close to its highest height and there is effectively no wobble. I recommend this 100%. Here's my honest feedback:
1) Solid construction throughout, nothing cheap or out of place.
2) The concrete finish laminate, beveled edges. Very nice, perfectly finished.
3) Virtually no wobble (of course at the highest setting, there is some, but with normal typing, writing, etc., effectively none). I'll note, I got the casters and put wooden carpet cups underneath them (upright piano casters (2" centers to fit the casters) because I assumed the extra 2" of caster plus cup give me an extra two inches of stability (BTOD, you should offer 'risers' for tall users, the desk still goes down plenty low).
4) Horizontal wire tray: If you have a lot of wires, get it. Minor quibble: the tray is very small about 2.5" x 2.5". It needs to be bigger, 4" or 5" in one dimension (probably height) would let me fit the various power blocks on it. Now they just barely fit at an angle and block the wire runs. But in any case, I was able to stuff it all in and therefore it does fit the purpose. Get it if you have lots of wires, very effective.
5) Motor: Quiet and fast. Lots of desks use two motors. My opinion is that one motor is better than two, less to fail, no sync issues. I expected it to be loud. It wasn't.
6) Assembly: Budget more than the recommended 30 minutes. I'm a walking disaster in putting anything together, whether desks or Christmas gifts. Assembly took longer, but mainly it is really quite easy, very few steps, clear instructions. (BTOD: you put the part size and number on each individual parts baggies, but your instructions refer to letters, put the letters on them too, I had to go back and forth comparing letters to screw size!)
Is this too many words? Bottom line is this is a great desk and a great value. Never had one before but it lets you keep working while you stretch your legs (or wander a bit while enduring an hour-long Skype meeting). This is a quality product. And they have great phone support.”
