“I am tall so I use my Vertdesk at its maximum height. I am so pleased how sturdy and stable it is, and using it is a total pleasure. The desktop surface material feels harder and more solid than I expected from a composite.
I have one suggestion for anyone considering these desks. The paper assembly instructions are good, but I strongly urge you to first watch the excellent 15-minute YouTube video where the BTOD founder assembles the desk, going through the instructions step by step - I had much more confidence that I could assemble mine without errors after watching the video.”
“I did a lot of research before I selected a standing desk (as it is not a cheap investment), and I am thrilled I chose the VertDesk! It is super stable and looks great! Below I will address the skepticisms I had before I purchased the desk and the great experiences I had after I purchased the desk. Hopefully, my experiences will help people decide on purchasing the best standing desk on the market.
I was initially worried about the bar at the back of the desk: I am 5'5 and can feel the bar if I really scoot in. Otherwise, it is not an issue at all and should not be a deal breaker for you. I bought the smaller desk, so the bar is 18'' from the front but if you buy the wider desk the bar is 22'' from the front. I can't imagine ever touching the bar at all at 22''.
I was concerned about the lowest hight: The vert desk has one of the highest 'lowest height' on the market at 27''. This should not be a concern at all. 27'' inches is really low. It's even lower than my old standard desk.
I was worried about the color: Samples can be mailed to you. I recommend doing this. If you are going to pay a lot for a desk, you want to make sure you have the desk you want.
Additional Notes: You will have the option to add a bunch of features to your desk before checking out. I would suggest getting the monitor mount. This is not a stability issue. My computer monitor does not even shake as I move the desk. I recommend this because the computer tends to be lower on the stand causing you to look down all day.”
“I really love my new Vert Desk V3. The desk came very well packaged and with no damage. The desk top was better than expected. The motor works well as it moves the desk up and down with ease and is not too loud. Assembly did take some time but was not difficult and the package included all necessary parts. We used some basic home tools. I would recommend this desk to friends or family. Thank you btod!”
“I'm very happy with this purchase. I'm using my new desk in a standing position right now, and it's everything I hoped it would be. Assembly was easy (I got an impact driver for Christmas :)), and delivery was pretty fast, considering that you get to customize the size and color of the desk.”
“I love the desk but the attached hanging file cabinet broke right after I started using it. Not great quality for the cost. Company was ok about sending a replacement but try reattaching a new file cabinet to the underside of the desk! Took me several hours and a lot of brain damage. BTOD wasn't sympathetic about the removal and reinstall. Would've been nice to have received some sort of credit for my time.”
“I will give this desk 5 stars for the overall satisfaction I have with the desk, my only issue was that the cable management tray I ordered came with a big dent on one of the sides. It wasn't a big enough deal to call in and have it replaced but wished it wouldn't have come damaged. The desk overall is great, and is EXTREMELY stable once all the way up for all the weight it has to carry with the monitors. The motor is very quiet and smoothly goes up and down very quickly. Overall extremely satisfied with this desk.”
