“I bought this desk after doing a lot of research. The videos on the blog helped immensely because they demonstrated the rocking and swaying characteristics of each desk. Assembly was straightforward although the pilot holes didn't line up. That wasn't a big problem for me because I used an impact driver to drive the wood screws. If you don't have a drill/impact driver, be prepared to use some elbow grease.
If you're thinking of getting keyboard tray, you'll need to check the depth requirements because there is a crossbar that runs along the length of the underside of the desk. This is a small con for a quality product though. The biggest downside is the minimum height. The desk goes down to 27". For reference, I'm 5' 4" and I prefer a height of about 25" when sitting. I was torn between this higher quality desk vs. a lower quality ModDesk Pro that can go down to 25". Ultimately, it boiled down to sitting too high at the VertDesk vs. a wobbly experience when standing at the ModDesk Pro. I ended up going with the VertDesk because you can fix the sitting too high problem by getting a keyboard tray, but you can't easily fix a wobbly desk when standing. Besides, a keyboard tray is generally better for ergonomics anyway. Just keep the added cost of a keyboard tray in mind if you're a shorty because it's more of a requirement for this desk than an option.
Overall, I would recommend this desk to anyone. If you're average height or taller, all you need is the desk. If you're say 5' 6" or shorter, this desk is great when combined with a keyboard tray (or foot stool if you want to save money).”
“All of the parts appear to have made it in one piece and nearly unscratched, despite the mangled boxes. One of the bags for moisture control broke open and spilled all over the place creating a mess. Some parts that were listed were mislabeled (ie 3/4" vs 5/8" screws, which was expressed that some desk tops can't use the 3/4").
Steps 1-3 were by far the most difficult part as the hex rod adjuster sheared at both openings after trying to turn the rod to fit into the motor and opposite leg. These 3 steps alone to more than an hour and the rest of assembly took less than 1 hour. I purchase a cable management part and have to say I am disappointed with the size and depth the cables can actually hold and the limited locations where the management can be placed. I will likely be purchasing separate management piece(s) to get the my system's cords to look halfway organized.”
“The desk and leg assemblies were delivered timely on two separate dates. All parts were included, and after assembly it worked. For my use, I don't expect to need the programmable settings or voice control. You will need someone strong enough to arrange the parts during assembly.”
“Received my Vertdesk3 and just got it set up. it's very stable and the lifting motor is super smooth. Also their customer service is great. I had one part damaged and e-mailed right away and they took care of it and were friendly and courteous. A wonderful experience all around!”
