VertDesk v3 Electric Sit Stand Desk w/ Voice Control Reviews

Delivery was a bit of a hassle since the 72 inch ships via freight instead of UPS and Fedex. I can't fault BTOD though since the 3 packages were super heavy and better secured on the pallet. The desk came undamaged thankfully; though the freight truck was rather empty during my delivery so that may have helped (less stuff to scuff against the packaging). Assembly was pretty simple though the hexrod took a couple minutes to align and slide into the legs. Only downside was a small chip next to the plastic beveled edge. Looked like it must have been knocked off and ended up in the plastic material used to bond the laminate surface of the top and front edges together. I was able to patch it with some fill sticks and a melter so it's pretty much invisible now. Only knocking 1 star for that small imperfection. The rest of the desk is super solid (no noticeable rocking forwards and backwards even at standing height [I am 5' 4''] and no side to side movement at all)

Everything about this desk has been as advertised. The mahogany is a very pretty finish. The programmable buttons makes switching between standing and sitting a breeze. The choices of size means I got the size of table I wanted. The only issue is that I didn't get instructions on how to mount the optional wire tray.

This is my first desk purchase, and I am loving my new VertDesk v3. Set up took a few hours, but instructions were clear, and the supplemental videos online really helped. The desk itself is really nice, and I have noticed 0 issues with stability or wobble. After using the desk for a couple weeks, my lower back pain has lessened noticeably. I did have an issue with my programmable button, where the desk would stop moving to the preset height and flash an error code. Support was really helpful, and I was able to get a replacement part sent out in just a couple days, and the issue is now completely resolved. I would highly recommend BTOD and the VertDesk v3, and hope to purchase another desk soon for my parents.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this desk for my home office including this web site, Reddit, other manufacturers' sites, and other sites. I ultimately picked this desk for a combination of stability, cost, and configurability. Things I like: The laminate is smooth and seems durable. The edge is comfortable. Speed is fine and quiet enough. The quality of components seems good. The desk is plenty stable for me, sitting or standing. I would rather have the crossbar with stability than not have the crossbar. The crossbar does not hit my knees when sitting. It actually provides a nice footrest when standing. Assembly was easy and instructions were clear enough. I found two narrow drawers from KitchenSource rather than one wide drawer, thus freeing up some extra space under the middle of the desk for my knees. The programmable button w/ one-touch can be enabled so that a 1-second press of a memory button causes the desk to go to that saved height without holding down the button. Things I don't like: As at least one other reviewer mentioned, the shipping packaging of the desktop was lame. The cardboard had been cut, and I was worried the desktop had been scratched. Luckily it was on the bottom side and the laminate was only slightly scratched. Had this damage happened on the top side, only a thin sheet of cardstock was protecting the laminate. After any power outage or unplugging the desk, I have to reprogram my saved heights and re-enable the "œpress and release" function memory function. The programmable button had an annoying sticker which used the kind of adhesive that is difficult to remove. There were some errors and snags when I first started using the desk, but those haven't come back in more than a week. I think it was due to cords getting snagged before I finished tidying up everything under the desk.

I did a lot of research for an adjustable table. I was really concerned about the stability. The videos out there demonstrating the stability are accurate. I really had to apply a lot of force in order to see an noticeable effects. If you are looking for an adjustable desk, this is it. Now, I bought the 5' desk. Can not speak about the 6' one. With the number of computers that I have, maybe I should have bought it. I expect it to be just as stable. The only design flaw that I see is with the hex-rod that the motor drives in order to adjust the height. It should have had a square cross section. This rod was a pain to get into receiver holes in each of the legs. I couldn't do it if I followed the installation instructions to the letter. I had to temporarily fasten the left leg in place in order to proceed with the assembly. FedEx delivered a damaged box -- the one with the table top -- while I wasn't home. The box said "Fragile" on the outside. Didn't matter to FedEx. Top had minor damage. Customer service did a great job resolving the problem. My initial impression here is that this company is a good American company!

Assembly was easy, the desk is solid at all heights (I think sometimes the review testing that BTOD performs are very stringent and not indicative of normal daily use, but this is a good thing!

The desk is beautiful, the desktop is elegant, the table itself is stable and the craftsmanship of the frame looks solid. I love the ability to stand and work when I'm tired of sitting. I am so glad to have purchased this.
