“When I first received the desk, the top was cracked and I will say BTOD did a GREAT job with customer service! They sent a new top (at no cost to me) the very next day and I didn't have to ship the old one back.
My only concern now is that when I've tried to put the desk up and down, it doesn't always work. So I'm hoping I won't have to reach out for that next. I'll give it another week and see. Other than that I like it, but that's a pretty big thing since it's the only reason I bought this desk, hence the 3 stars”
“I really like this desk. It's my first standing desk and wish I had made the move sooner. Only one, very small complaint I have is that you have to keep pressing down the memory buttons to return the desk to a saved position. It would be better if it was just a simple press of a button.”
“shipment came in earlier than estimates, was pretty simple to set up. However, would like the vertdesk tutorial video to have a straight-down camera angle to see what is being done during setup.”
“Overall this is a great desk. It is very sturdy and does just what I want it to. I understand there are some new, similar desks coming out that are easier to put together, but this wasn't too bad. You just have to make sure when the rod is placed that the motor uses to lift the desk that the legs are even then. Otherwise it could be a minor hassle to go back and start over. The biggest problem I had was that the supplier of the keyboard tray changed specifications on them. I attached it, but the track sticks out a little bit. It works ok. When I called to ask about something else they said you can mount the track on top of the flange from the U channel in the middle. In general, mounting some of the extras, like the file cabinet, was awkward. They sent instruction for the rolling cabinet, and mounting it was awkward, but the hardware was there.
At the end of the day, I'm really happy with the desk. When I called customer service they were very helpful and pleasant. The process of putting it all together was a little awkward for the reasons mentioned. But overall I'm very pleased with this desk.”
“I got a 24" x 48" desk and it works well, rises enough to accommodate my 6'1" height and is wobble free, which is why I was willing to pay a bit more for the BTOD desk rather than the Uplift Desk. For the price, though, I expect the install instructions to be a bit better. I figured it out, but it was time consuming and tiring. As for specifics, there was no guidance whatsoever regarding where to position the pencil drawer. And, the guide holes were helpful for standard items like the motor and up/down buttons, but not for accessories like the additional outlet.”
“The build quality is superb, the frame is very heavy duty and suitable for commercial use. The product is very heavy, a helper might be necessary to hold the legs in place until they are secure. Make sure to have a battery-powered driver and the #2 square-head drive bit. I did the assembly myself in about 40 minutes.
The instructions were easy to follow, the starter holes for the screws were perfect. This was probably the best kit I have assembled (for a furniture product). The top was beautifully made. The motor works well. Highly recommended!”
