VertDesk v3 Electric Sit Stand Desk w/ Voice Control Reviews

4.8 Rating 657 Reviews
I was tired of my terribly wobbly Ikea Bekant desk and looking for something better. The info on BTOD and the logic about a stable, durable desk made sense. With the money-back guarantee, I decided to give the VertDesk v3 a shot. To be totally honest, while waiting the week and a half for the desk to arrive, some buyer's remorse crept in. Did I spend too much? How much of the BTOD reviews are doctored to sell their own desks? Luckily, that was all unfounded. The VertDesk was easy to assemble, built very well, and is rock-solid stable. Side-by-side with my old Ikea was insane. With my computers and monitors on the VertDesk, tapping on it only causes a small rebound; with no load on the Ikea, a tap causes it to wobble back and forth for a solid three seconds. It raises and lowers faster too. A month later and the desk is holding strong. I've used it for gaming, work, and as a work surface for PC repair. The VertDesk v3 is a big improvement over every desk I've had, and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

More sturdy than I expected, glad I purchased. Build quality seems great, assembly was easy. Working standing up takes a little getting used to, but I like it very much. Glad I added the casters. I could have probably gone without the vertical cable management, but it's cool. It does need the horizontal cable management (when it's extended up, the motor and cables are very visible)...which wasn't actually an option when I ordered...just noticed it now, maybe you can send me one? hint-hint. Thank you.

I did A LOT of research to find the best standing desk out there for my team. I looked at about 16 different desks before deciding on the VertDesk. I read the wirecutter review that rated other desks better, but the VertDesk had consistent satisfied customer ratings. The big plus is that it has the stabilizing crossbar that keeps it from wobbling when it is at the fully extended height. I also liked how transparent the company was with their history in sourcing the materials. You can tell when you build the desks that they are made from quality materials. There were a couple of headaches though: 1) the shipping/unloading experience was stressful (but that was due to the shipping company, not BTOD themselves) and that there was an issue with the hex rods hitting the U-channel. BTOD has great customer service though and promptly sent spacer washers to correct the issue. Our team is absolutely thrilled with these desks. They look sleek and help our employees feel better as they work.

The VertDeskā„¢ v3 is excellent. I have used it for the last 3 weeks, and really enjoyed using it. There are three issues for installation 1). Installing u-channel was difficult because pre-drilled holes are not aligned with holes of the u-channel, 2) The quality of screw is not high. Therefore, An electric screw driver did not work well, and I needed to use a manual screw driver. 3). Pre- drilled holes are too small. I drilled almost all pre-drilled holes to make the holes larger. Additionally, the motor noise is louder than a desk from OMT Veyhl I am using at my work office. The noise the VertDeskā„¢ v3 causes is acceptable for home users. However, if desks are used at office, nose from the motor would be annoying for other colleagues. Otherwise, I highly recommend this desk.

Desk is awesome except for one thing. The hex rod supplied for longer desks (72") is not sturdy enough to not bow in the middle. This causes a clanging sound when even slightly bumping the desk, not to mention how bad the sound is when actually using the lift functionality. The remedy from BTOD was to increase the depth of the u channel with washers which would have probably worked had i not already placed wood shims between the u channel and the underside of the desk. Really a sturdier hex rod should be supplied OR a deeper u channel. Still giving it five stars because this really is an awesome desk. No wobble except at the very highest setting 47". Even then there really isn't much.

I read the reviews and decided on Vertdesk V3 with a large top (60"). The desk arrived with only a small nick which is hardly visible. This was probably caused by rough handling in shipping by FedEx which is why I giving my experience a 4 star. I think the company should provide heavier padding for the desk it is heavy and might be damaged if it's mishandled. The written assembly instructions are not very user friendly but they also provide a very good video of the assembly on YouTube. With the video and the instructions as backup, it took me about 90 minutes to complete the assembly and start using it. It feels very solid, the motor is quite and the movement is smooth. It also looks great!

100% happy with the desk. The assembly is straightforward as long as you have a #2 square bit. I would not even attempt it without the bit. I think you would destroy the pre-drilled holes and have a bad day. When moving the desk to a saved height, you have to hold the memory button until the proper height is reached. I wish you could push the button and walk away while the desk moves. Overall, thought the desk moves fast enough where it isn't an issue. I would and have recommended the desk.
