“Chair is just as ordered and arrived on time. I did reach out to the vendor regarding an alternate chair they had available, but never heard back to my inquiry. Fortunately the chair received is what I wanted and the other would have been a compromise to make their BOTD's lives easier -- so no loss on that account; Although the lack of communication (at all) is where the missing star in my rating comes from.
In terms of packaging and assembly, the delivery was clean and easy. Internals were packed safely but with minimal packaging waste. Almost all of the internal packaging was cardboard, which makes for a much more ecologically friendly packaging experience than some others I've seen/had where everything was covered in plastic wrap.
The chair is clean and fresh and comfortable. I've owned other steelcase chairs and would have to say that the Amia joins some of my favorite features from my previous chairs and ups the game in great ways.
This chair replaces a 2 year old Aeron chair. The Aeron was always just slightly uncomfortable for long work days at the keyboard. The Amia's cushion and back rest provide a much more comfortable sitting experience for me personally.

“Buying a chair online is daunting. It's a large purchase in terms of cost and headspace. I searched for months and looked at several premium choices but was put off by the cost. I realized that only a refurbished chair would fit my budget so I looked again and went with BTOD because only they and another store had excellent reputations. The others had very mixed reviews and the thought of returning something as awkward and large as a chair gave me pause.
My chair arrived on time and in a large box partially assembled. It was easy to put it together.
The Steelcase Aria was my choice because of my height and weight (5'6" with average build). Several weeks into having it home I can confidently say that this was money well spent. My back and neck feel better now that I am seated at a good chair at my WFH hybrid office, which doubles as my gaming station after work.
The cushions are firm and it doesn't rattle when I move it. The casters roll well. My only concern were the standard plastic armrest which tended to be sticky on my forearms unless I was wearing a long sleeved shirt. I purchased carefully measure arm rest covers to solve that problem.
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.”
