“I found B&S on a social media ad so I sent off for some samples. They arrived super quick and compared to all the other samples I received from another well known bed supplier, these were far better quality. After a couple of phone calls I ordered the bed frame and I'm so glad I took the plunge having never seen it in a showroom. I can honestly say I would order from them again. The bed is so well made, the fabric finishing on the headboard is perfect and I'm fussy. Delivery guys were so careful, no paint chips or damage. So I'm delighted to be able to write a review - a big congratulations to marketing for the idea of a sock for a review - genius!”

“Love the headboard. It looks beautiful and the moleskin fabric feels amazing. However, there a 2 negative points for me: 1) I wish it had been clearer that the bed base was solid. Perhaps my own fault, but I had assumed that it would come with a sprung slatted base and was a disappointed that this was not the case when it arrived. 2) the base is flush with the frame so that the mattress sits on top rather than being inset. I have therefore needed to buy a bedspread to hide the messy appearance of the untucked end of the duvet at the end of the bed.”

Hi Margaret, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Our bed frames come with flat solid bases, as this will give you the best overall support for the surface of your mattress. Our products are also guaranteed for 10-years - and solid bases stand the test of time. Many companies will use slatted bases as a means to save on international shipping, because the bed can be deconstructed into smaller parts. We also made the decision to design our beds with the mattress sitting flush to the frame. This saves space within the bedroom and means that you won't stub your leg as you walk around the bed!
