“I can not say enough about this company. I bought a ChessUp2 Chess board for myself for Christmas and due to being busy did not open it for a month. When I did, 2 of the spots on the board would not function properly. I messaged the company after this happened and they IMMEDIATELY overnight shipped me a brand new board. I play it everyday and am so happy with it, thay I bought the official ChessUp2 carry bag to protect it!”
“I researched automated chess boards for quite some time. I found one that moved pieces automatically (had questionable reviews), I saw others that were similar to ChessUp that had questionable reviews. Even the original version of ChessUp had questionable reviews. Then ChessUp 2 came out and the reviews were much more encouraging, so I pulled the trigger on it.
I received it, charged it up, updated it, and set the difficulty. I have played chess all my life at a novice level, so I'm starting out pretty low. I don't know the openings, defenses, etc. I guess I should read books. I dunno. I played a game and the board performed brilliantly. I was very happy.
The next day, the board malfunctioned. I went through troubleshooting, sent an email to the team, who asked for pictures verifying some things, and sure enough, they decided I needed a replacement. They sent me an email right away with tracking for the new one and a return authorization for the malfunctioned board (it is this malfunction that lost the company a star. While they handled it right away, I cannot grant a perfect rating for an imperfect initial delivery).
The next one arrived and, as I write this, it has performed as expected. I'm learning more about it. The tutorial mode comes with a learning curve. I don't know what the feedback means on the screen, but I'll sort it out and hopefully it'll help me become better. I'm considering buying one for my daughter who plays, then we can play despite the fact that she lives six hours away.”

“This board has been so amazing. I held off for so long on buying it becasue I knew it was an investment and I just really needed to convince myself that I would use it enough to make it worth it. I can 100% say this has been one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. I have always wanted to play chess against people on a board, but not many people I know play chess serisouly. Yes you can play against people on a phone or on a computer, but its truly not the same as playing on a board. This allows you to play on board against anyone on chess.com. “This is a beautiful very seamless and easy to use chess board. Great for learning or enjoying a game with someone that is still learning the ability to change the 2 players help is great. Only issue i have had is ganes getting dropped either playing with bot, 2 player or online something happens where it will ose connection with wifi and no longer display feedback, light up the assist red, green or blue so you have to back out to board editor and start the game your playing from there also one of the online modes just sits there sometimes and never loads so i think my issues have all come from wifi connectivity. Other than that and the price being a bit high, i love it. Makes it too expensive if i wanted to get my sibling or dad one to play while we are apart.”
