The only thing which would make the board more awesome is if the pieces would move automatically, or it had some sort of holographic board system It integrates smoothly with chess.com. Also, Lichess though I haven't used that feature. It has built in AI which is solid When you pick up a piece, it highlights the possible squares it can move to. You can set it so that the squares are highlighted differently depending on how clever/ dumb it would be to move the piece there. Only played head- to- head once. It has a built in clock with different game play/ handicapping options. You can set the level of help it provides to a given player Essentially the board is one large touchscreen computer which recognizes chess pieces At some point, I need to go through all its functions. Out of the box, the only info you need to enter is your WiFi password and chess.com/lichess accounts, if any. Install any updates and in 5 minutes, you are ready to play The board has a saved state feature where you can "save" a game, and load it to play at a later date. When you load the game, it will provide the board schema so you can set up where you left off. I haven't explored it, but you might also be able to download games from the interweb. I'm not sure whether it has a speaker and a way to do a game review. It might have this feature, or a way to use the app to achieve this. Again I need to RTFM, as my tech friend often tells me I've only had it a few weeks. As of now, it's the best purchase I've made in many years

I love my Chessup 2.0, I feel like it's a very well-maintained product, the constant updates improve its performance more and more. I've reached a point where it no longer makes sense to play chess without having it around.

There is simply no better way to play solo chess with a physical chess board. Constantly rolling out new updates and bug fixes. Very good quality board and pieces. Super easy to get setup. Turn on and your playing in seconds!

I need to play more. I enjoy playing over the board. I'm a novice[low rating]. I just like to playing. I realized after a few games that I need to play 20 minutes or more per game. Speed chess does not work for me. Nothing like taking it with you and always being able to play a game on or off line. Thanks a bunch ChessUp.

The ChessUp2 is an innovative way to enjoy and learn the classic game. There are very minor issues, mainly with chess.com not loading bot games or being stuck in the “searching” screen when looking for a new game. I believe for it’s price range it should include a carrying case and bags for the pieces, but it is still very easily transportable. That said, overall I would recommend the ChessUp 2 whether you’re a new or seasoned player, you will find useful features this board has to offer.

It's very cool, my son already knows how to play but this teaches him to play better. The visuals with the board lighting up makes chess very fun. Although expensive I think it is worth it.

I never leave reviews. But this one has been far above the already high expectations I had for the chessup 2 board. Online games otb are super smooth and no issues at all, only pleasure. Also introducing chess to our kids (3 & 5 years old) has gone to another level. I don’t have to force myself to make bad moves, I just set the appropriate level of bot and set the kids assistance to the minimum level where its still enjoyable and everyone has a great time. And they keep coming back for more.

I just bought it for a week but I love this game. It is so great that I can't stop playing until night. I will practice with my son regularly and it won't hurt my son's eyes like tablets and smartphones. Thank chessup
