It was such a beautiful experience from start to finish. Simon and Hanna were absolutely brilliant—warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. You could tell they were passionate not just about the food, but the entire culture behind it. They walked us through every detail of making traditional Chinese buns in three different styles, and it never felt overwhelming. The class was so well-paced and intuitive, and they made sure we were hands-on the whole time, which made it all the more fun. We particularly loved the bits where they explained the history of Chinese cuisine—it added such depth to what we were making, and gave the whole experience a lovely cultural richness. And the food! Oh my goodness. The buns were delicate, fluffy, and absolutely delicious—some of the best we’ve ever had. There was so much food, we had to take a box home with us (no complaints there!). It truly felt like a feast. They even took loads of lovely photos of us during the class, which meant a lot as we were celebrating our anniversary. It felt personal, joyful, and genuinely special. Highly recommend this to anyone curious about Chinese cooking or just looking for a lovely, hands-on afternoon. We left full of buns and even fuller of heart.

Simon and Hanna were very attentive and enthusiastic. We arrived a little earlier and Simon gave us a description of the traditional foods, culture and history in China and Shanghai. This was followed by step to step tuition on making 3 types of Asian buns.

Very enjoyable and informative class. The hosts were very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. They showed me how to make 3 delicious dumplings which I ate at the end of the class with their delicious homemade pickles and chilli oil. Will definitely come back from another of their many classes.
