“We loved our Kintsugi class with Jun and Hitomi!
Jun was a very patient and hands-on teacher who shared personal experiences and stories to help our learning. I found it very touching to hear the philosophy of the art, not just the physical crafting.
Through this process, I learnt that my partner had intense attention to detail, and very fine skills. He crafted beautifully, taking time to breathe and apply the new Kintsugi skill and techniques. I am happy to say that I can relax and break more bowls and plates at home because we can repair them beautifully and uniquely now.
Thank you Jun and Hitomi!
We loved the class with you!”
“Jun and his wife made the small-group workshop feel very cosy and welcoming. I enjoyed learning about the origin and history behind Kintsugi. Each step of the process was explained thoroughly, and with care. I was truly immersed by Japanese culture and loved hearing the teacher's lived experiences through stories about career, overcoming personal struggles and embracing imperfections. I'm so glad my friends gifted me a ClassBento gift card for my birthday as they made it super easy to book myself into this class. What a treat!”
“I love the philosophy behind Kintsugi and I’m so grateful to get the opportunity to give it a try in this class. Jun San was a wonderful and patient teacher. The timing is perfect for the class. We moved quickly but were not rushed. Small class size meant we all got the attention we needed to ensure an excellent outcome.”
“Was great! Teachers provided great education on philosophy of kintsugi and the lesson itself went extremely smooth with care in guidance so we will came out with nice plates”
“Jun-san was very knowledgeable and professional teacher, sharing history and cultural nuance about the art form. His instructions, guidance and feedback were very clear, and he created a very positive environment.”
