Hisae and Akki were so welcoming, patient and knowledgeable. Every step of the process was clearly explained and Hisae also provided a wonderful insight into the origins of Kintsugi. Everyone left with a lovely kintsugi plate. Highly recommend!!

We had a great experience at the Kintsugi workshop with Akki-san and Hisae-san. They’re fantastic teachers, calm, patient, and clearly very passionate about what they do. They explained the process step by step and also shared the philosophy behind kintsugi, which made the experience much more meaningful. In the class we repaired broken pottery using the traditional kintsugi method, carefully mending the pieces back together and finishing the cracks with gold. It was very hands-on and surprisingly satisfying to watch something broken come back to life, where the breaks become part of the story, making the piece even more meaningful than before. My wife and I did the workshop on our 22nd wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be a really special way to mark the occasion. We’re very grateful to Akki-san and Hisae-san for creating such a welcoming and thoughtful experience. Highly recommend it!
