Matthew has been to Japan twice over the past 8+ years (with our youngest and then our eldest daughters) and has enjoyed his holidays there immensely.
Ken was fabulous!!! bright, cheery and well informed as to not only the ingredients we were using but also the origin and particular locations in Japan which are known for those ingredients. His information as to why we do (or not do) certain things whilst preparing and cooking, is invaluable.
We had a fabulous time learning and creating our own Japanese Street Food, and the food was soooo very yummy. The entire experience was wonderful and the food was so delicious that we went out that very afternoon to purchase the ingredients so we could practice the techniques Ken taught us, to recreate that delicious pancake and the chicken and pork skewers.
Ken was accommodating and non-judgemental when it came to us (and another class member) not using alcohol in our cooking, due to religious health codes that we follow. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!
