“I really enjoyed the brief history of kintsugi and our instructor's recommendations on setting an intention for our pieces. We were given plenty of time to finish them and support on mending difficult breaks. Only downside is it's not recommended to use the plates for eating as the glue/mica isn't food safe. Thanks for a lovely time!”
“I really enjoyed the Kintsugi workshop and learning about the history and meaning behind this beautiful art form. We each chose our own plate, intentionally broke it, and then repaired it using the traditional Kintsugi technique, which was such a unique and mindful experience.
The teacher was absolutely lovely and very welcoming. I do wish the technique had been explained in a little more detail—particularly around using enough glue so it seeps out to create the signature gold line effect. That extra guidance would have made the process feel even more complete.
Would highly recommend if you are after a different type of activity to try, and have a few hours getting out of your own thoughts.”
“We had a lovely time! Our teacher was fantastic, very knowledgeable and patient. It was great to hear about the history behind Kintsugi. Highly recommended!”
“We really enjoyed the class, learning baout the history and story of where Kintsugi originated. It was a lovely time spent together being creative and a unique way to spend a christmas catch up as a team.”
“Rashmi was a fantastic teacher, telling us about the different styles of mending broken items and the mean8ng behind them. She showed each of us how to mix, apply, and mend our pieces and helped and guided as we went. Very relaxing environment, and a skill worth learning.”
