“While I love the Dutch Chocolate Powder, I cannot ever seem to understand the packaging. I've commented for ten years about how the powders and packaging arrives, but it only gets worse, not better. This last shipment had powder everywhere, even though the product was packaged in plastic, and then metal. Would love a chat with their VP of Operations. So many things could be so much better! But in my last ordered package, I was very unhappy to see that all of my product will expire in six months. Why send me product that was already packaged six months previously, and only give me six months of shelf life? Those packages should be sent to stores, where they will used very quickly. Product that is already six months old should not be sent to home consumers.”

“This review isn't about the powder,but about the customer service at Coffee Bean. I somehow got snagged in to a subscription, and there is no way to cancel it. I have tried calling. the support at coffee bean email address is non existant.”

“I bought this in a smaller container that I no longer see available online but my family and I loved it so much it only lasted about a month so I had to order the big size. This is our favorite hot chocolate brand!!! We love y'all!!! I always wait for the free shipping codes other wise I'm paying $30 lol so I'm so happy I was able to buy my favorite powder on a free shipping deal, thank you Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf y'all have the most perfect delish powders, tea, and coffee!”

“the chocolate is what I expected, but I had the product in my cart, but because of the shipping fee, my plan was to add more to my cart to avoid the shipping fee. I did not click buy, but somehow it was shipped without that. I was not happy, because was planning on when and If would buy because the shipping charge costed 50% of the cost of the product. so not happy with this practice. the chocolate is fine. not happy with the service”

“TLDR: LOOK AT EXPIRATION DATE. I would normally give CBTL a 10 out of 5 star rating, because I have been a loyal, loving customer for about 23 years - since highschool. Every Friday I would go to the mall with my BFF and we would get Coffee Bean, I always had the hot vanilla drink. I have been ordering the powders to have at home since 2018 (I unfortunately do not have a CBTL near my house anymore). My recent order delivered powders that were manufactured over one year ago, with an expiration date of three months from delivery. I do not finish these powders that quickly, and to me, it would have been a waste of money. The CS team did refund me $30 for the order of four cans, so I guess that makes it better. But, I wish I would have received a longer lasting powder. (yes, they do get stale, and you can taste the difference, IMO). But honestly, overall, I love these powders. They make a delicious "weekly treat" drink.”
