“The Special Dutch Chocolate Powder is a must have to make Ice Blended Mochas at home. As a former LA resident now living on the east coast, we have relied on the powder to make our favorite frozen beverages for - not kidding - decades. Unfortunately the price has gone up ALOT in the last year, which is why I've knocked it down a star. I understand inflation, but a 50% increase in one year seems excessive.”

“Very frustrated ordering process. I placed my order and then needed to cancel 2 days prior to shipping. The website has NO option to cancel, the email was a no reply email (I tried anyways) and the website had no option for contacting the company. The one phone number I located on Google led me to a voice that says due to covid we are not staffing the phone line... This is June 2023. More googling found similar complaints of no customer service for online orders. I had planned to follow up and continue to order for years but this was an unnecessarily frustrated process.”

“I'm afraid my more than 20-year relationship with CBTL is coming to a regrettable end. And it's not about the quality of its products -- I really enjoy them. A lot. I consume a CBTL Mocha Latte every day. Mostly make them at home. I spend a lot of money with them. But since CBTL was purchased by Jolibee, a foreign-based conglomerate, the treatment of its best customers has been shoddy at best – & downright abusive. First came the complete overhaul of CBTL’s Rewards program, which used to be fantastic, and is now largely useless. But 1st & foremost, It's the absolutely astronomical price increases. The price of the espresso pods I buy has increased a whopping 30% -- from $6.95 (for 10) to $8.95. And the Chocolate Powder has just gone through the roof! The $12.95 price (for a 22 oz. can) is expensive, but I love it, so I indulge. But when I ordered more on Aug 30 of 2022, the price had gone up $1 a can, to $13.95. I frowned, but purchased it anyway. Then, sometime during the 3-month interval between my Nov 2022 purchase and my Jan 2023 purchase, the price went up again -- this time another $2, to $15.95. Then just 2 months after that, in mid-April of 2023, I find that the price per can has gone up AGAIN -- this time $4!! So in the space of 18 months, the price of the chocolate powder has gone up 54%, from $12.95 all the way up to $19.95 -- $7 per can!! I've been experimenting with different powders, due to both the expense, and to the terrible treatment of its most loyal customers. It’s both ridiculous and offensive. And please, CBTL, don't blame it on supply chains. Yes, that's been difficult for every business – to an extent – but nothing that justifies your balloon price increases.”
