“I was hesitant to invest in the Lieto, fearing a repeat of leakage and other issues I had with the Americano. But I am happy to report that Lieto was definitely worth the upgrade. It is quieter and I no longer have the issue with leakage and overflow. I think the crema is better and the bin for the used cups is easier to remove and empty. I use mine to brew tea, coffee, and lattes and am happy with it for all 3. Only downside, it is too short for some taller travel mugs.”
“So pleased. Lieto is a sturdy machine that looks great and makes an excellent espresso shot or cup of coffee. It is much quieter than the previous generation. The orange color really "perks" up the kitchen counter!”
“I've had the Americano machine for several years, so I thought I would upgrade to this after reading the reviews. While it still produces an EXCELLENT cup of coffee, I'm disappointed to say the least that there are only 3 cup sizes on the Lieto vs. 5 sizes available on the Americano. Also, my large travel mug is too tall to fit under the machine so I'll have to raise it. Overall the machine is great - wish I had this before the Americano.”

“Great replacement for Starbucks Verissimo machine that broke. This machine uses both Starbucks verissimo and CBTL pods which is perfect for me as I find those far superior to the Keurig pods. The coffee tastes great and the machine can make three sizes, espresso, small and large. It is much less expensive than the verissimo machine and I hope it is sturdier, as my verissimo broke after less than 2 years. My only complaint is the color (purple). I would prefer black, but I am very happy to find a good machine that uses my favorite pods.”
“Highly, highly recommend especially if you like espressos and lattes. I've been eyeing the CBTL machines for awhile as I've heard from multiple people about how great they are for espressos/lattes and when the Lieto came on the market, I had to get it. It's fantastic! It's so easy to use that my mom (who isn't tech savvy) figured it out immediately and the quality of both the machine and the CBTL capsules are excellent. Highly recommend”
“I've been using a single serve machine from CBTL for the past five years and it still works fine but I couldn't resist an upgrade to the Lieto. The fact that my current machine has lasted so long makes me all warm and fuzzy for the longevity of the Lieto. The Lieto is considerably quieter than my original machine and the coffee (espresso continental) seems to have a creamier "head" on it. The flavor is outstanding and the orange Lieto brightens up the kitchen. I like the look of the water reservoir and ease of filling and the buttons are simpler with a nicer feel and just three positions and a single "soft" button in the center of the dial. Bottom line is that it's a very nice coffee machine that was worth the upgrade since the coffee experience is important me.”
