The switch will jot connect to my wifi. I have contacted support, done everything asked, will not work. They sent a new switch, same result. I have several Gen 1 that work just fine as well as relays. Gen 2 smart switch has issues.

Thank you for taking time out to review! Smart Switches and Smart Dimmers contain internal chipsets, similar to tiny computers, which allow them to perform their advanced functions. It is normal for these switches to be warm to the touch, and they will get to roughly the temperature of a hot tub (~100F). This slight warmth is expected and doesn’t indicate a problem now or in the future. The temperature of the switch isn’t significantly affected by whether the light is on or off. Instead, the heat comes from the internal components doing their job. It’s important to know that all Deako switches, as well as electrical components from other manufacturers, are rigorously tested and designed to meet strict safety standards. So, if your Smart Switch or Dimmer feels warm to the touch, rest assured—it’s just part of how these innovative devices operate safely and efficiently.

I found 2 issues with the Gen 2 Smart Switch: 1) The Beacon light bar is TOO bright at night, no good at all. It supposed to be just to find the swith, not to illuminate a room. 2) The material of the flat face of the switch becomes translucid to the Beacon light bar, making it looks like very poor quality and the appearance is far from the cost you pay for this switch. I am attaching images of 3 switches without any filter. Just from the cellphone camera. Already mentioned it to the sales rep. and said there's a software update in the future, but it is no good.

The Deako Smart Switch Gen 2 was super easy to install and set up. It connected to Wi-Fi right away, linked with other switches smoothly, and the little status light makes it easy to spot at night. Best of all, it gives me peace of mind knowing I’m not leaving lights on when I head out.

These work great. Was able to quickly upgrade from Gen1 to the latest in no time. The added features make it easier to use and integrate into the other systems I have in place already around my house.

Really happy with my new gen 2 Smart Switch! Had some hiccups with the app at first, but it seems like they've been consistently rolling out new updates to improve it. It's working much more smoothly now for scheduling and remote control. Also love the neat addition of the light bar at the bottom of the switch.
