“I wish the light would dim a lot more. This was also advertised to be low light for morning bathroom routine; unfortunately, it is still very bright, and they are not cheap either. I can change the switch system to another brand and it will dim a lot more.
UPDATE: I have been contacted by Deako to resolve my problem. Their customer service is amazing, and I am very please with their attention to detail. Even though this particular switch did not really work for me, I would still recommend the purchase. The installation is seamless if you already have the Deako backplates and it works with 3 way switches also!”
“Due to misinformation given to me by the laborer for the electrician installing our Deako switches, and the resources provided to me by Deako, I feel a need to amend my review. My main concern was the cost of Deako switches compared to traditional switches, and the inability to convert back to traditional switches due to the Deako box being hardwired. I was incorrect. The Deako box (backplate) is inserted into the traditional blue switch box that is nailed to the wall. You are able to remove the Deako switch and backplate in favor of traditional switches if you so desire. We do like how wide the Deako switches are and the versatility of switches that Deako provides. We don’t like that the snap on switch plates aren’t snug to the wall though. But based on previous misinformation by the electrical contractor, I can’t determine if these switches, or electrical box the product is inserted into were installed correctly. Otherwise, the switches work as designed.”
