It is exactly what it seems like it is. Totally convenient (blinding if necessary) control over your camp ground or patio. It's out of the bag and set up in 20 seconds tops. Same to collapse it. No impulse to be lazy and not use it. Figured 1 button controls would be annoying, but it's not. It's intuitive. 0 effort to remember how to use it every time. It may be pricey, and time will tell how durable it is (feels super sturdy), but this thing performs every bit the way I had hoped. I do wonder if I could leave the stand in the elements without it tearing down from rust even though it's painted / sealed.

Would be a five-star review except for the price. Steep for sure but also sheds much light. No knowledge on battery life or ease of battery replacement. Next spring/summer will tell!

The LightRanger light with the tripod stand is an excellent tool for use while camping. The light with the option to reduce its coverage area and brightness is outstanding for illuminating meal time activities, outdoor games like cornhole or horseshoes at night, or working on vehicles/RVs after dark. The ability to separate the light from the stand is a great option for the user. The flexibility of having the stand go from a few feet up to 9 really gives you an outstanding range of lighting options. I am not disappointed with my purchase and those I camp with have nothing but compliments about the light and ask where I obtained it.

Easy setup, the stand is sturdy, the light is very bright! We use it at our cabin as both an indoor and outdoor light. I'm looking at possibly getting another one to use on my BBQ trailer!

The Lightranger is a little spendy to begin with. However, it has been my experience that (especially in out door gear) you get what you pay for. This is a quality product that is very well built. The research and development was thorough. If you have the money don't waste it on an inferior product.

I recently bought the light ranger 1200. We just used it for a cookout once the sun went down. We had plenty of light for cooking and everything else in the backyard. It’s light and compact. I keep it under my backseat in my truck. Great product and will definitely be buying another one.

The Light is great, very robust and plenty bright. The telescoping pole on the other hand is flimsy. Feel like I’m going to break the clips on it if I look at it the wrong way. Wish the quality of the light and pole were the same. Devos sent me an extra pole for when the first one breaks.
