I called and left a message about potential return and Rich called me back to let me know I will receive a new lantern and I could keep the defective one. No questions asked. “We’ll I saw this product online, and was very intrigued. My previous camping trips were by a lake and we’ll it’s summertime so the bugs swarms in the thousands! So having any light that you have near you draws them all in and the start to hit your face and if your unlucky you may eat one! So now having this LightRanger is amazing gives you strong lighting and keeps the bugs out of your face! The only thing I would say is if they could add a remote to turn it on or off so you do not have to bring the pole all the way down! Thanks !!!”
