“This is a very poorly thought-out accessory. It doesn't attach securely to the lightranger poles (except at the very top, which is too high to be useful) and the instructions are contradictory.
If you plug it in during the day you have to turn on the light for it to become active, but the light stays on until evening then the sensor will turn it off (or you have to remember to turn the light on after dark to activate the sensor).
When it otherwise works, it works well at motion sensing and turning itself off, which deserves a single star since getting it to work is so hard.”

We’d like to clarify one important point regarding the motion sensor: the motion sensor is designed to activate and function only during nighttime/dark conditions. During daylight hours, the sensor will not trigger the light because it is designed to conserve battery and operate only when additional lighting is needed.
