May 22 - 29, 2026 | On our Narwhal and Polar Bear tour, we travel from Pond Inlet, Baffin Island to the floe edge where we will have close encounters with Narwhal and opportunities to see polar bear and other northern wildlife. This is a unique opportunity to camp near the floe edge and includes cultural experiences as we travel with our local Inuit guides.

I shared the trip with my two adult children and the experience created some of the most thrilling memories of our lifetimes. The blue landscape, the bizarre birds and mammals, the fluid organization of the tour leader and the charm of the local guides combined to create an authentic adventure. It is true that one must sacrifice some comforts to fully appreciate the trip, but what is an arctic adventure without fully, in a tourist sense, immersing oneself in the local environment and culture?

Fantastic tour - as highlight of my life, and I’ve been everywhere (well almost). And we were lucky to have Cam be our tour guide - well informed, friendly and courteous. The weather was perfect for late May, mostly sunny at the edge and a temperature of about 0C. Our tents were comfortable and cozy, the food (including lunches) was hearty and delicious, and the narwhal, polar bears and birds were sensational. I highly recommend this tour.
