I purchased the Eko core 500 about 1 month ago. Once you are able to recognize what you are listening to and what to tune out the core 500 is great. I had an issue with the glass top bell about 3-4 days in and thought wow this thing is so delicate, after noticing scratches and tiny chipped areas on the edge. I was like, It will never make it in a fast passed trauma setting. I spoke with Ashely M who was very helpful and sent me a new bell. I do wish there was at least a protective cover that can be applied to keep the glass bell top free from scratches. I am currently looking for a round protector that fits the bell. Still looking…… Otherwise I love it. Charging is pretty fast, I keep my basic stethoscope around just in case I forget to charge and need to do so. Charges pretty quickly.

Vague murmur description. Like at least state systolic murmur. And not applicable for abdominal sounds which is limited for healthcare day to day physical exam. We listen to abdominal sounds.

Being a little skeptical, when I first purchased the core 5000, I was pleasantly surprised with the functioning of this stethoscope. The first feature of the noise canceling capabilities were stunning. I now hear things that I was unable to hear in the back of an ambulance, the sound quality is amazing. Secondly, the ability to almost instantaneously get a basic rhythm is extremely helpful to determine my next step in treatment of the patient. I now know if I need to immediately place the patient on a 12 Lead for a definitive ECG. I am surprised at how often I know ascultate lung sounds, and heart sounds of my patience. It was worth every penny.
