As an anesthesiologist: I use it in preop like "most" clinicians from the foot of the bed facing the patient and it is great for that. the ECG signal for many of my patients with big chests is very small and basically unreadable but the rate is usually correct!. After we induce the patient and intubate the trachea I only need it to confirm breath sounds which I have to do from the head of the patient in the OR. The mixed heart/lung setting has way too much sound, the cardiac setting muffles the lung sounds too effectively so have to make sure to be on the right setting. When set to pulmonary it is awesome post intubation. I seldom hold it on the chest long enough to get a confirmatory tracing on my iPhone but I suppose if I had an "issue" it would be a great way to prove I heard breath sounds? Or diagnosed an arrhythmia? I do wish we could flip the orientation so I can get a reliable ECG from the head of the bed versus only the front facing?

Truly is amazing! Have had it in clinic for one day and completely in love with this stethoscope. The sound and noise cancellation are superb and connects easily to my Airpods. I had the digital CORE stethoscope before I got this one and have no regrets upgrading. However, I have to say I am disappointed in how fragile the screen is. I have only used it in clinic for one day and already sustained a scratch on the screen. If you go forward with this purchase, then I recommend buying a screen protector (similar to the ones they use for Samsung smart watches) prior to using the stethoscope in clinic.

This stethoscope is by far one of the greatest things I've ever purchased!! Just yesterday, the stethoscope helped me confirm that the patient was in SVT before I even put them on the cardiac monitor. It's already becoming one of the greatest tools I have and the ER physician had to try it and now he wants one too!

This stethoscope is absolutely AMAZING!! It’s ability to capture heart rates, rhythms (or arrhythmias), murmurs, and so forth then link it to the EKO app by adding to your own specific patient is technology at its best! I am more than satisfied with my purchase and encourage others to try it as well!! Ellen Caughman, DNP

I love it. Takes a bit of getting used to. Plus, trying to avoid artifact when using the EKG is challenging. Otherwise, I love it!

Core 500 is an outstanding stethoscope, with the three filters, heart, pulmonary, and wide you get quality sound that makes diagnosing easier. You can change the filters right from the stethoscope itself without the use of the app. Love my Core500

I have now used my digital stethoscope a few times since receiving it the other day. It has great sound quality and the display is great showing the heart rhythm. If you have hearing difficulty or just want to invest in a great stethoscope, I highly recommend the CORE 500.
