Dear Mr. Landgraf, I would like to take a moment to share my experience with the Core 500 stethoscope. It was quite a challenge to obtain this device since, unfortunately, you do not ship to Germany. As a result, the Core 500 has become the most expensive stethoscope of my life! I had to factor in the base price along with travel expenses to the USA and hotel accommodations. But that's beside the point! Today, I hold the Core 500 in my hands, and I am proud to possess such a fantastic and high-quality smart stethoscope! As a specialist in anesthesiology and orthopedic and trauma surgery, with a focus on severe trauma rescue and care, I have found this stethoscope to be invaluable in my work. The German emergency medical system differs from the American system in that we can always request an emergency physician in specialized vehicles for particular situations, who then takes over patient care in the ambulance or helicopters. The Core 500 performs exceptionally well in the ambulance or in the helicopter, especially during transport, thanks to its outstanding noise-cancellation capabilities. In challenging terrains or situations where monitoring is difficult, the ECG lead provided by the Core 500 is incredibly helpful, allowing me to quickly assess the current heart rhythm. As an orthopedic / trauma surgeon with my own practice, I am legally required to provide general medical emergency services, including home visits. The Core 500, with its ECG function, is a great diagnostic tool for cardiac issues, especially since I do not have a mobile ECG device. The medical applications of the Core 500 are so huge. Perhaps it will be possible to purchase the Core 500 stethoscope in Germany in the near future! The diverse out-of-hospital applications could revolutionize the German emergency medical services! I am sure! I have an idea for the Core 500 cover. You could incorporate a protective lid in the area of the USB-C port to prevent liquids, such as blood or other potentially infectious substances, from entering the stethoscope. The weak Point for damage is the USB-C port at least when used primarily outside of the hospital. During rescue operations, the demands on the stethoscope are much tougher. It is just a thought! Last but not least, the Core 500 is not just an interesting device; it is a device of interest! It would certainly be a good idea to make it trackable to help prevent theft. Thank you for creating such an awesome smart stethoscope! Best regards, Daniel Schroer, M.D.

First, I am a pre-op and PACU nurse. I own one of the Eko Core Littmann stethoscopes and love it. As I age my hearing is not what it was. I do not use any of the app. Now of the review of the 500. It was to much technology for using it in a pre-op setting. I really try to limit the amount of skin exposure on our same day surgery patients. This stethoscope needs skin exposure and works best in the lower to mid mediastinal region. While I like knowing my patients rhythm prior to surgery, the possible exposure I cause using it does not warrant the situation. If I feel their pulse and heart tones are not equal and regular I can place them on the monitor. I was hopeful I could use this in a more non-invasive manner but the waveform was not clear unless I was mid mediastinum. I would highly recommend this in an office setting or in a situation in which there is not a monitor readily available.

This case holds my core 500 and my core 300 adapter on my Littman stethescope. I upgraded from the 300 which I thought was great until I tried the 500 which is AMAZING!!

Not practical for pediatrics. Battery drained too fast. Good amplification. Pulmonary mode excellent. Misleading regarding heart murmurs.

I thought I would immediately love this but I didn't. It picks up every little movement noise so there is a lot I have to filter out, particularly when listening to lung sounds. I prefer my cardiology 3 stethoscope for lung sounds. I am getting used to it though. I find turning the volume down for lung sounds helps. The few times I've tried to get EKGs with it, I had a very hard time getting a clear signal either because of body hair or body shape/size.

I bought the CORE 500 with the standard or free app to see the 3-lead ECG. I needed to upgrade to Eko+ so I can make recordings for the patients chart and I think it's worth it so far.
