This is a very good replacement for my traditional Littman Cardiology Master. I've had that since residency and felt time to upgrade. There is a short lag using the Eko DUO with an iPhone and AirPods Pro but you get used to that quickly. The 2-lead ECG is a neat feature but does take a bit of practice to get a good signal. The phonocardiogram is an excellent surprise and can note that your are hearing and seeing the correct heart sounds. Overall very happy with the purchase. Of note, the great top coating does scuff easily (had the black rubber of a Butterfly IQ rub off on several spots).

At times even 2 feet apart from my iPhone it gets disconnected. At times it hard to see the P wave. The phonogram images are very distorted and difficult to read when applying pressure to the Eko duo up against the chest to get a good ecg trace. Thank you

As a Cardiologist who trained with one of the great clinical cardiologists, a teacher who stressed the value of auscultation, I have always been dependent on my ability to make a preliminary diagnosis based on history and physical findings. What the DUO ECG and Digital Stethoscope allows me to do is to push the boundaries on what I can actually hear, particularly today when so many are above ideal weight and heart sounds are not as easy to hear. All hear sounds are louder, much more clear, and distinctly separated than even with my best standard stethoscope (Aubrey Leatham). The ability to see a rhythm strip at the same time is an advance I never imagined. It makes me a better cardiologist and gives me confidence that cardiac auscultation is indeed a very important diagnostic tool.
