I finally have over 1000 miles on the Lynx. So, I figured it is time for a review. This will be quite long and off the top of my head. If you have done your research, and are at the stage where you are going back and forth between this wheel and another comparable model, this is the wheel you want. I'm rating this 5 stars, because it is, but lets get the negatives out of the way. It's mainly just trying to find things that I don't like, so it seems unbiased as you read this. I am really trying to not just say good things but it is hard. This wheel is practically perfect. 1st is the battery, 2,700Wh is plenty to do whatever you want to do if you live in the city. If you have a large city, live outside of one or drive far to work, it might be right at the range of the wheel depending on your speed. But that would depend on lots of stuff specific to you so it might be okay. I would like a little more range but only certain rides. I take a charger sometimes and that fixes the issue. I'm really only wanting something like another 10 or 15 miles, and that's not all the time. So really the range is great. My speed floats between 35 and 45mph, and if I don't charge while I'm out, I will get at least an hour and a half of ride time. But sometimes more if I don't do a speed run or two where I touch 50mph or higher. So really, after saying all that, the battery is perfect because adding any more would change the weight and I like the overall feeling of the Lynx ultimately. Next is the 66lb spring. Which is a tad to much for me but only sometimes. I adjusted where I wanted it and got use to the feeling and it's not a big deal. To be honest the 66lb might be fine and maybe my issue is with the progressive spring, but that's for another conversation. There are times I want it softer, but overall with the streets I ride and the curbs or stairs I drop, it is perfect. So you might want to do some thinking about your spring weight or style. Again I'm trying to find things that I would say are negatives. It is difficult. I got the seat and pedal hangers with my purchase. The seat material is a little too slick in my opinion, I stick to it fine, but I slide easy if I'm trying to. It is honestly very comfortable, and really has no issues though. The pedal hangers are extermely helpful and I would recommend you use them. I rode the wheel for 50 miles without installing them to get a good contrast. The only negitive thing I can say is that depending on you, if you like turning sharp you might scrape your pedals. Which does not happen often for me at all. But it has happened, maybe once or twice when I have turned around or practiced racing. But the breaking stability is improved so much, it really is a must have in my opinion, although you will still get break wobbles sometimes. The most important thing with the pedal lowering kit, is if you do use them, it is most likely going to drop your shoe below the lowest toe grip position, but just barely. So you will need to get extended toe grips if you have small feet, or like to stand with your feet pointed away from the wheel. The last negative is the relationship between the seat and trolly handle. If you want to use the handle, the seat must be lifted and is sometimes in the way, but also sometimes is helpful weirdly enough. Anyway, thats the only bad stuff I can think of after a long time of trying. But, this wheel is great. The TNT street tire is incredible, it does okay off road but I wouldn't suggest it. Just get the TNT knobby if you are looking for an offroad ride. I'm sure that tire is just as awesome. People online will complain about the stock Leaperkim pedals, specifically the spike features. I have zero issue with them. I might get aftermarket pedals but I'm really not sure. That how completely fine they are. The acceleration is a dream. Smooth and instant. I have never had a problem doing whatever I need to do. If I'm accelerating from a stop or speeding up while already moving. The application of power is flawless to me, Veteran firmware has had some slight controversy but I have never had any issues in any situtation. I don't use Acceleration Assist at all, becuase I've never had a reason to, it's so easy to get the wheel to do what you want. Maybe I'll start messing with that soon, but I like to lean forward quite dramatically sometimes and I would think that would effect the angle I am hitting. So I'll need to get use to feeling the help, when I do activate it. The size of the tire and Fast Ace suspension soaks up lots of bumps in the road and you don't even notice sometimes when you go over certain things that look horrible or dangerous. The headlight is great. I can see what I need to, without blinding people, but they can see me for sure. The breaking power is very noticeable. I am still learning how to emergency break good, but I am not bad at all. I am able to go out with 100% battery, reach the wheels top speed, and then breaking hard from the 55+mph range I can stop within 130-145 feet. I have measured on Google Earth, and with a Measuring wheel. I don't know what the quickest you could break would be. But, I want to get even shorter distances. Because I can feel that the wheel is able to do so, I just don't know if I can. But I will try and will probably be able to just because the Lynx is able to handle whatever it needs to. The waterproofing works, no problems. I have washed it off more than one time. I'm running out of things to say about this beautiful machine, so I hope you got some good information about the Lynx. Also I hope my rambling and format was not too much to handle. Remember the positives and negatives are all sujective. I would recommend buying the wheel and trying it for yourself if you have any doubts. Because they will go away, just like the people behind you when the light turns green.

Firstly, I was a little afraid about the stability of the Lynx; however, I only can say good things about it; it is very nimble, and stability is not an issue. By recommendation of Jason, I have changed my selected knobby tire for the new TNT street tire, and I have no regrets. This tire is awesome, Lynx is very capable, has a lot of torque, and is very well built. Although I ordered the lowering kit, I am very satisfied with the stock height, and I don't think I am going to need to lower my pedals. Cheers from Bogotá (Colombia)! Thanks to eWheels, Jason, and all the team for the greatest service.

I have never ridden an EUC. This has been the most challenged I've ever been trying a new sport. Starting on an 88 lb wheel at 62 years old is HARD. But I'm starting to get the hang of it. Zen Lee's video of exercises for people learning on BIG EUCs was very very helpful in setting my expectations. I can't say anything about performance, because my top speed is about 8 mph so far, but the Lynx appear to be very well built.

My first purchase from EWheels was the Veteran Lynx 70lbs street l841 tire batch 1. -Customer service - exceeded expectations. I did have questions and concerns which were all answered in less than 24 hours. Shipping times for parts and accessories were prompt. (After riding several hundred miles) Lynx- overall build quality is great. I received the seat and pads as free accessories and they are both high quality. The tire is great for street. Not so much for looser terrain like sand etc. I ended up switching to a tubed shinko 241 which fit without any rubbing and I love it. If I did it over again I would’ve gotten the knobby as I ride off road light trails and on road. I am a heavier rider over 220 and this wheel has done great at anything I’ve ridden up or over, sand, gravel, grass, dirt. Suspension is easy to tune, smooth and I have not bottomed out. I also bought the lowering hangers in black and they match the wheel and help lower the center of gravity and did not compromise hitting pedals on trails. The pedals function well, have good grip and overall the length and width of the footpad area is great for size 13 boots. Disassembly is easy for tire changes. Headlight is bright. Tail light is bright when braking. The app functions well for basic settings. Must go through the settings on the wheel for advanced settings. If I were to buy again today, my answer is yes.

Hi Ryan, thanks for your review! The 241 is a great choice for riding off-road, the choice to make the tire accessible without unplugging the motor from the controller was a good one on Veteran's part. Glad to hear you're enjoying the wheel's capabilities, stay safe and happy riding!
