Almost 2 years after review. When I bought this, I was just starting. After almost 2 years, I can say the pellicle and kombucha starter have rendered many fruitful, delicious subsequent generations of kombucha, with healthy, beautiful SCOBYs.The instructions in the pouch are great and I keep the pouch to this day as a reminder if I forget anything. Remember always to keep it at the right temperature by using a heating pad, always using at least 1-1.5 cups of the previous batch in the next one, and youll be good.

High Quality!. This is the second time I have bought this product (I stopped caring for the first SCOBY after a few months and that didtn't end well for either of us). But before I started neglecting it, it produced great Kombucha, and multiplied SCOBYs like crazy. Same thing is happening with this second one! I thought brewing kombucha would be difficult, but the directions on the package are super easy to follow. And organic to boot? Can't be beat!

Great company. This is my second purchase of their product. My first Scoby died by my fault. The kombucha it had produced was fantastic !

A most excellent scoby and liquid. This is a robust and lively scoby. Within 6 days I had bubbly, fizzy, delicious kombucha, ready to go to F2 in bottles. I think it went so fast in part due to sudden warms temps here in Michigan, but there is no denying this Fermentaholics scoby is just bristling with goodnes and life!This is my 2nd store-bought scoby. The first one fizzled out and grew mold, despite consistent warm temps and careful handling. I think it was too long on a shelf somewhere, but regardless, if you need an excellent scoby try these!I also grew a scoby with store bought plain,raw kombucha. It is ready to make a batch and I am very curious to see how/if the flavor differs from the Fermentaholics' product!

these scobies works like a charm!. Using this companies Scoby I produced my first ever batch of Kombucha by following their instructions on the back of the package. I placed my brew at the top of the staircase, which is the warmest area of the house, and 3 days later I could see a new scoby beginning to form. At 11 days the scoby had grown to 1/4" thick, and a PH strip showed the brew to be at 2.5 - 3.0. Perfect acidity and a taste test is also perfectly tart. Tomorrow I will begin my 2nd fermentation process with swing top bottles.Very happy with this companies product!
