“Worked for me. This is great. Basically all you need to make kombucha. I got a starter kit from northern brewer, but they failed to mention "cold = mold", so I got mold and had to get a new SCOBY. Just get this SCOBY, a container, and some sweet tea, and you got a booch going.”
“Buy once, kombucha forever. I bought this kombucha scoby and used it, the starter liquid that came with it, a plain GTs kombucha, organic black tea, sugar and water to brew my first kombucha (10 day ferment). I did a 2nd ferment with mango puree and blueberry, lemon, ginger (3-5 days depending on your mix). I saved 2 cups of the kombucha from that and used the new scoby that formed to begin a 2nd batch. Now we are a regular kombucha drinking household and have a scoby hotel to make extra kombucha or give to friends who want to start making their own. Good stuff!”
